Is this possible?

After discovering the amazing o2 joggler at college I fell inlove with it instantly. Why o2 discontinued it is beyond me
My plan is to run Windows XP on a Joggler which will be fibreglassed into the dash of my car somewhere, but my main concern is will any x86 application run on the joggler provided it meets the hardware requirements? I want to run some OBD software so I can see what my engines doing at any given time and the joggler would be perfect. I would also be using a USB OBD device, am I right in thinking this would work?
Thanks

Should work, provided the software will fit onto the screen

Thanks for the fast reply. Do you know how long this thing takes to boot up? Sorry for all the questions, only have a few more
Will Android run Torque Pro?
Will Android be able to use a bluetooth dongle?
What is the fastest booting Windows build?
I promise there isn't many more
EDIT: Note, I said many more
How will the joggler react to being powered on and off regularly?

The Joggler takes over a minute to boot if you are using the current XP images patched for EFI. A large portion of the boot is taken up by the Jogglers sloooow EFI. Shut down is not too speedy either. One of Dan's slimmed down builds will be faster than mine which is designed for features over speed.
As long as you shutdown properly, powering off and on shouldn't cause you any problems although you might want to think about including a power switch in your build as otherwise you'll be reaching for the power cord. If you google, I think you'll find that you're not the first person to combine Jogglers and cars. I saw one built into a headrest somewhere.
I imagine that Android or perhaps the XBMC or SqueezeOS that you'll find on here are a better fit for a car entertainment system. Depending on your IT skills, you might want to read the Coreboot/SeaBIOS thread. That opens up the possibility of booting W7 or W8, booting off a proper PATA HDD after some soldering, but work is still needed to sort out the audio drivers and improve the reliability.

Not sure Joggler would be a great fit for a car install , even with android it would be pretty limited as joggler has no GPS.
Better off getting a cheap android tablet with GPS then you could use copilot or TomTom.

I used a bit of software called centrafuse when i had a car pc. Had a 7" electric fold out screen that shared my double din slot with my headunit. Old laptop sat under a false floor under drivers seat. Was cool, now the average iphone can do loads more with a wifi obd port.
Digitalcar forums and as Turvey said mp3 car, although they can be a bit obnoxious are probably your best resources.

Thanks for the replies guys. Gone ahead and purchased a Joggler and will start the install soon

My reasons for choosing the Joggler over an android tablet is purely because of the Windows XP functionality, and the ability to use USB devices etc

so GPS is a possibility I suppose

Just to let everyone who comes across this thread searching for what I was know, this is 100% possible. OBD software works fine, as does using a USB2VGA splitter, or any device that works off USB under windows XP infact

. Also worth noting that the wireless adapter inside is pretty much a USB wireless card, which makes for perfect placement for the Windows XP USB stick to go

. Thanks for your help guys
Now, where did my soldering iron get to...

You might like to tryout XP on a USB stIck before you fully plan out your install. In my experience, a USB stick is 2nd best to a HDD by some margin. In a car, you wont want to wait too long for your Joggler to boot or be sluggish in use. If you decide to use a stick, not all are created equal whe used as a boot drive, as I've discovered. Google for reviews before you buy. Sticks are cheap nowadays anyway.

Torque Pro works perfectly on android on the joggler, I have used a bluetooth connection
Also works nicely on my Galaxy Tab, the trouble with the joggler using android is I could not get any of the sat nav software to run.

The Joggler doesn't have GPS so I'm not surprised.
There's a video on Youtube of somebody using Google Maps in Android for route planning but the output is routed to the Joggler from another device, i.e. a GPS enabled mobile phone -

The main concern I have with running android is that I am now running a second monitor in the centre console for a media player that passengers can access without having to put their hands through or near my steering wheel. IF, of course, there is a way to install the drivers for the USB2VGA splitter I am using and the lilliput touch screen then I will gladly make the move over to android as it would be more suited to the joggler than a copy of XP would I suppose

None unfortunately, I went for XP in the end on an SSD but shortly after scrapped the idea due to the constant worry of battery drainage. What is it you're having issues with? I'm sure we could all possibly chip in
