It's good news in that developers will have extra tools and hopefully more x86 apps in the Market. Intel are trying to push their mobile chips for handhelds and tablets.

There is already an alpha2 version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich for the Joggler. Look for the discussion thread with ICS in the title. :)

Intel-derived? Very good news. *starts tinkering*

With Intel on board, app compatibility should start to see a huge rise, and with the joggler meeting spec for ICS, it falls into the target category, so plenty of life left in the old dog yet!
