I've had a joggler for a couple of years now which I have been using as a as standard and also as a squeezebox player.

The problem I have is that the touch screen is really inaccurate, so much so that touching the screen at one point will activate part of the screen a good 10mm away from the original click. Also, the screen doesn't always respond to being jabbed, sometimes just ignoring the request, and sometimes acknowledging request (selected icon indents) but never actions.

As this is the only Joggler I have ever used is this normal? Is there anything that can be done to correct this? The unit works perfectly otherwise.

Unfortunately, that sounds like you have a dodgy digitiser. The behaviour you describe isn't normal and the only thing you can do to fix this is to replace the whole display unit. It's a fairly easy job, but you're likely to be charged through the nose for a replacement screen, unless someone on here has one they don't need any more.

There's no easy way to replace only the digitiser - you're likely to destroy the screen in the process.

I've actually had a bit of success I thought I would share.

Even though my screen was malfunctioning I thought I would try to put on PnP mk II just to see what it looked like. To do this I first had to clean my Joggler using the reflashing tool at birdslikewires. Before reflashing I read though the comments on birdslikewires about the tool and one user said that he had an Open Peak joggler (like mine) which after he reflashed fixed an issue he was having with an inaccurate screen. As I had nothing to lose I thought I would give it a go and..... perfect, the reflash fixed my dodgy screen!

I have since put on PnP mk II and all is well.

How bizarre. Well, there must be something else at play in that case! Glad it's fixed for you.
