O2 Joggler Forum

I loved my Joggler and had it set up to run the family calendar (and sometimes games). All was fine until I was unwell for a while and it didn't get used (it was always me who co-ordinated the calendar entries etc).

Now I cannot get the screen to boot up. It is clearly trying to do something - flashes a bit, and sometimes displays 'o2' at the centre. Any ideas?

The text alerts to our individual o2 mobiles seem to be working ok, but that probably isn't centred on the Joggler kit itself.

It is in its original form - no additional software or adaptations. All help welcome (but I'm not very technical).

You will need to reflash your joggler I think, take a look at the joggler wiki under recovering a bricked joggler also you will need

is the screen 'cloudy' to look at when you first switch it on? The joggler's LCD screen takes a few minutes to warm up from cold. If it is, just leave it do it's thing and the screen will be back to normal a short while.

Big progress. Our student son did it for us. Now we get to the nice home screen with all the icons, and then to the family calendar. It seems to like to be hard wired rather than connect wirelessly, but that is small fry compared with the blotchy flashy mess we were looking at - much appreciated!

And our son is now Very Taken with the technology - it wouldn't suprise me to find ouselves buying him one to take back to uni with him - he's a Linux enthusiast to the core! Do we buy off ebay these days, or are there better sources?

Ebay will be your place to buy unless any good chaps on here have a 1 surpluss to requirements about 60 pound total would be about right.
Could try a wanted on Gumtree local but it is more hit and miss.

Just use the Settings app and hit the 'Edit' button for the network connection. This will give you the option to use wireless if you prefer.

Or the Marketplace on this forum - people often put them up for better prices on here as there aren't the fees (although, of course, you don't have the same level of protection, not that I've ever heard of any issues).
