the basic how to's

Hi, i've just switched on my joggler for the first time in several years and noticed some of the functions no longer work. had a look online and it looks like a lot of changes have taken place since i last used it (2011). After a bit of googling I can see there have been a number of alternative updates release for the joggler. I am struggling though to know where to begin to get the most out of the joggler and wonder if someone can point me in the right direction in terms of an absolute idiots guide for updating/upgrading the joggler. any advice appreciated.
