How to prevent Joggler Squeezeplay OS hijack?

I recently checked on mysqueezebox.com under the Players option - discovered that my Joggler was listed under various players - none of which were my actual player!
Is there any way to register the Joggler as a unique device which persists over time?

Have you tried various versions of sqpos and/or reinstalled a few times.
I believe that the network on SqPOS doesn't get a proper MAC address so a random one is chosen and saved at first boot. So the extra instances of Squeezeplay showing on the website could be your earlier installs with a different MAC.

No ... same OS install from about 3 mnths ago.
The registration details also gave a different owner ...

Weird. I've had variable luck with mysqueezebox.com - but as Jimbob mentioned, the MAC address for the Joggler is (semi)-randomly generated, and if you've ever used the reset function that will cause the MAC address to be reset too, IIRC.

Ditto. Has happened to me about 4 or 5 times over the course of a year or so.
