Squeezeplay, Squeezelite & jive_alsa

I'm still having issues trying to use Squeezelite. If I run it from rc.local then it almost always knocks out jive_alsa then nothing plays .... sometimes it seems to work okay.
If I run it from the terminal then jive_alsa seems to survive ...
Any thoughts?
