Neither do I anymore (see my previous post). It wasn't really a speed thing, it was a very long delay before playing the track. Happily sorted now

Well I spoke too soon chaps. I must have just got lucky with the streams I chose the other day - but last night some tracks would play and others wouldn't, even when using Raspberry Pi's installation of LMS. It was an almost universal occurrence that the tracks that wouldn't play were Vevo content (or at least it showed the Vevo logo on the thumbnail image).

I have a new 2nd Joggler - will use as a backup system.
Can I just simply take the existing usb stick from Joggler 1 and place in Joggler 2?

Oh well, I suppose I bathed in the smugness of "it's working OK for me" for a couple of days but last night the LMS YouTube plugin went flakey for me too
Symptoms similar to others, ie some streams load fine whilst others "can't find server".
Didn't notice any pattern to which worked and which didn't although don't doubt gegs' findings.
Looks like it's a YouTube issue similar to January when everything stopped completely.
Will keep an eye on the Slimdevices forum to see if a solution is forthcoming although at the moment no-one there seems to have noticed/posted.
Unless anyone on this forum has the knowledge to fix? - certainly not me!

My testing was hardly thorough but after choosing around 40 tracks or so, the ones that wouldn't play (except one) had Vevo logos on the thumbnail.

This worked for me. You can also use win32discimager to backup and restore your stick onto a 2nd stick if desired.

I apologise for continuing to hijack this thread with the LMS youtube app but I wonder if there is some connection here. I've been using 2 youtube apps on my iphone for quite a while. The original app (my favourite by far) will not find certain videos when I search for them - even when I'm using a direct link from an email. I just did a very quick check and yup, a vevo video won't work on the old youtube app. This can't be a coincidence can it?

It's probably time to take this to the Logitech forum or message the addon developer direct. If it is a problem with Vevo streams I don't think anybody on here can fix it (although I may be wrong; you're an awfully clever bunch).

Hi...
Did somebody tried to remove squeezeplay and instal xmbc on this distro ? And it is possible to launch xmbc through ssh ? and also I tried to install apache and asterisk through apt-get but it can't find packages and dependance. Maybe I missed some part...
Thanks.

I think XBMC has too many depencies to fit on EMMC given a thread I've been following by pete_c who is struggling to make it work on a 2gb openpeak device (jogglers only have 1gb) however I'd second a request for some kind of app launcher within Squeezeplayer that would let me open chromium browser (or other installed packages) - or a stripped back version of this OS that boots to something like LXDE that we can then install our own apps to would be even better!

Connecting to mysqueezebox.com
I can't find any way to get my Joggler to connect to msb.com. Is it a one off choice when the OS runs for the first time?
Any ideas welcome.
EDIT: very strange. My router was set to channel 11. I switched to 8 and all working fine.

Are there any plans to issue an update to allow for LMS 7.8 install ?
Recent changes in LMS decouple the Tunein internet radio feature from mysb.com.

I know you've got it fixed now and probably know this, but for other forum users' reference: to connect to squeezebox.com rather than a local LMS, just run one of the mysqueezebox.com apps and the Joggler will connect to mysqueezebox.com (if not connected already).
Assuming the router settings are OK, if it doesn't connect it's probably because the mysqueezebox.com registration settings are wrong; I think these can be accessed under Settings > Registration. It's not a first-run once-only choice.
To change back to a local LMS, choose My Music from the Squeezeplay home screen, scroll down and click on the last item on the list - Switch Library - and choose the server you'd like to connect to.
(I know this is "teaching granny to suck eggs" for most of the forum users, but changing libraries confused me as a Squeezeplay noob so I thought I'd mention it.)

Thanks. But it was some strange problem connected to using channel 11 on the router.
So strange, that when I checked at mysb.com for players - the joggler appeared with a strange name (Philon) and the time settings were set for Perth Australia. I deleted that player and reconnected - again another strange player appeared with a different name!
Switching to channel 8 cleared all these issues.
Bizarre.

@ castalla - My reply wasn't really aimed at you because I noticed you'd fixed your problem

.
I remember though that when I was new to Squeezeplay I was using Triode's Spotify addon a lot, then when I chose a squeezebox.com app I lost my connection to atom and it took me ages to realise what had happened and how to change back to my local LMS and get Spotify back. Your post reminded me, so I thought I'd put it in the mix in the hope that it might help recent converts.
Your router channel problem sounds weird! Recently I've been playing around with my wi-fi channels to find the best overall solution for all my connected devices. I haven't encountered anything so bizarre (yet).

I have almost always used channel 6 - the Joggler doesn't connect well on this. I've tried 11 also - not good either. Seems 8 is the optimum. Very strange.

Hi,
Firstly, massive thanks for producing SqueezePlayOS; this is my first foray into the Joggler world and the install was pretty simple.
Secondly, I was getting a few issues with BBC iPlayer radio playback (occasional buffering plus near 100% CPU usage on my LMS server whilst transcoding) so I tried using Squeezelite instead. Not sure if anyone's interested but using Squeezelite as a separate 'player' on the Joggler and then using Squeezeplay to control the Squeezelite player seems to work fine. Plays back everything I've thrown at it thus far. All in all, not bad for the £30 the Joggler cost me off Ebay. Only thing I did do was set the SqueezePlay audio to use USB audio so there was no contention with the headphone output used by Squeezelite.
Cheers, Mark

Assume you installed this on the internal OS .... ? How do you get squeezelite to autostart?
