you are looking at a partition on the stick rather than full stick size, or you have a bad stick.

Do you mean from Mijuu's build or did it boot to the stock OS? I use https://launchpad.net/win32-image-writer for writing images rather than unetbootin - had far more success with the former.nitrowing wrote:The other download extracted OK.
I used unetbootin to write to the USB but there was no difference to the OS when I booted up!!
Thanks! Try reformatting your stick, there may be some system files on there that are taking up space? Alternatively, wait for JazzMod v1.1, as that may be able to install over Mijuu's original build (replace system.img)crisdo98 wrote:Great work on the image with market. One question though.. how on earth do I fit 3.73gb onto a stick that shows only 3.66gb?
Yes, it is from Gingerbread (where I got the market from). I'm currently testing a ICS version of Gmail and will edit the main post when I've made sure everything workstangye wrote:Jazzmista, I installed the Gmail app and it works, thanks for making the apk available. Is the Gmail apk an older version (ie pre ICS) version of the Gmail app? The reason I ask is because I managed to register my gmail account with the native ICS email client which looks very different to the version you provided.jazzmista wrote:I've got the Gmail apk - I'll add that (and a few others) to the main post. They should hopefully be included in JazzMod v1.1 as system appstangye wrote:Hi. I managed to get this to install. On average it takes me 2-3 tries to get the image to initially boot off the USB stick. However if I have to reboot the joggler (by reboot I mean pull the power and reinsert), it seems much harder to get the image to boot again. Probably only rebooted successfully 2 times in about 20 attempts. I think this is a problem with my joggler though, nothing to do with the new image.
Anyway, I managed to add a Google account in the account settings, but under the account settings, there was nothing to sync it to (ie no options to sync Gmail, Contacts or Calendar). Then I remembered jazzmista's first post in this thread said to download Gmail from the Market, however I couldn't find Gmail in the Market. When I went to start the existing email application, I was asked to sign in with either a "Corporate" or "Email" account.
I then tried to go into the calendar app, and I was asked to either sign in with an existing account or create a new account. I signed in with the account I added in the account settings, but was told that the account had already been registered on the system.
So I guess what I'm asking here is:
1) Is there anywhere I can get a copy of the Gmail app, or should I just search the internet for it?
2) Am I doing something stupid regarding the calendar app, such that it doesn't recognise my account, or do I need to install something else to get the calendar to recognise my account?
Once again, many thanks for your help and all the hard work everyone has put into this version. The default email app doesn't work for Gmail - does anyone mind if I remove that to avoid confusion? Again, I'll provide the Email.apk for people to install in v1.1.
Edit: Added to the main post.
As for using the "updated system.img file" approach for releasing updated to your image, that sounds perfect. Thanks again for your help.
Thanks BuZz! I'll update the main post againBuZz wrote:image here: http://joggler.exotica.org.uk/img/android/jazzmod01.7z
note: the incoming folder is write only, so your link in the first post won't work. has to be this way, else the ftp would be used as a warez/porn drop site by people!
i've moved the image to the link above which you can use. should be able to feed people at up to 10MB/second.
Not currently suppported in ICS-x86 although the developers on the mailling list are discussing it - ive sent a message to Mijuu on mporter.miccheck1516 wrote:I dont see any option to enable ethernet, am I missing it or is it just not there?
Sorry - Mijuu's release booted as normal from the USB.jazzmista wrote:Do you mean from Mijuu's build or did it boot to the stock OS? That's strange! Try wiping your stick and reflashing - the telltale sign of JazzMod is the custom boot-animation (ICS For Joggler flashing text repeated)nitrowing wrote:Sorry - Mijuu's release booted as normal from the USB.jazzmista wrote:Do you mean from Mijuu's build or did it boot to the stock OS? I can't get win32-image-writer to run on my W7x64. I tried ImgBurn and the Windows Image writer too.
Unusable for me without ethernet. I hope they do add it.jeffers wrote:Not currently suppported in ICS-x86 although the developers on the mailling list are discussing it - ive sent a message to Mijuu on mporter.miccheck1516 wrote:I dont see any option to enable ethernet, am I missing it or is it just not there?
I use W7x64 as well and the only version that worked for me was win32 version 0.3 , all other utils failed and I tried a fewnitrowing wrote:Sorry - Mijuu's release booted as normal from the USB.jazzmista wrote:Do you mean from Mijuu's build or did it boot to the stock OS? I use Zeam on my phone, but I don't think it works with the Joggler, which is a shame as it is the fastest launcher out there!Be careful that LauncherPro doesn't cause a few issues with SystemUI.apk - GOLauncher EX does on boot before it realises it is a tablet and switches orientation!nitrowing wrote:I used a live Linux Mint to do the job
ICS runs really well - very good job!
I'm tempted to run LauncherPro though, I need to resize the Clock widget...
have you tried gscript lite?jazzmista wrote:Also, for those who want a reboot widget, I've discovered a bug feature that allows you to reboot from the lockscreen. Simply slide left for the camera (instead of right to unlock), and wait for the Joggler to have a tantrum (as it has no camera) and reboot! Instant reboot as well
edit - 100th post!![]()
try trebuchet or nova they are ics specific launcher. Nova can resize. ADW ex is also ics compatiblenitrowing wrote:I used a live Linux Mint to do the job
