Avast works fine on the joggler, but if you feel it start lagging just disable some of the protection.

Tried the CoreAVC and MPC combo setup, but the results are poor when enabling subtitles on 720P content (shame as this combo worked great on my under-powered netbook).
I guess I'll have to either learn Chinese or watch English language only HD movies

Ha ha. I use Microsoft Security Essentials on all my desktop and laptop machines and it picks up the dodgy infected exe stuff, although it gets caught out by the "you have a virus" style Trojans that the kids click on. It's much more lightweight than others I've tried.
I've not tried MSSE on these builds, but this joglgler windows does report itself genuine, so you should be able to install it for free. Windows update works too.

If you're in the UK, the Trust branded 4 port unpowered mini hub that Wilkinson sell works fine with mouse, keyboard and the boot USB stick plugged into the left of the three ports in a row. One of my 7 port hubs won't boot at all on any port.
Modding the internal USB port is dead easy. 4 screws under the sticker on the back are all that you need to undo. Then run a thumbnail around the 2 halves and it pops open quite easily.

I have two atom netbooks. A (broken) AOA150 with a sata hdd which ran W7 and an AOA110 with a ZIF SSD that I picked up for £30 on eBay without a screen. I've cobbled together a working AOA110 machine with a mix of parts. Running Tiny XP Beast Edition on that. The performance of the netbook is much better than that of the Joggler, but I puta that down to the USB boot drive.
if anyone intends to make their own small XP for the Joggler, either beast or micro XP (both on the tiny xp install iso) make really small and snappy xp installs. I'm about half way through typing up instructions on the wiki.
The keyboard from tabletPC is small to type on, but is ok at a push once the screen is calibrated accurately. I sometimes use a capacitive stylus from the 99p store. There is a keyboard that our counterparts in china use. I'll try to post a link, but you'll need to translate the page. Google chrome does that trick nicely, but you'll be scratching your head at times. They seem to talk about cabbage and cattle a lot.

I am looking forward to the new builds. I am kind of using the 5 Jogglers now in "production" of sorts and moving 2 more Jogglers to the PoE world.
Amazing / great stuff!
On a side note looking at a custom plastic mounting plate for wall mounting the Jogglers. Actually built from scratch.

Just connected a bluetooth dongle and I get the following message: The file "BTHUSB.SYS" on Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 CD is needed.
Copy files from: D:\XP03\i386
When I press OK, nothing happens.
Where can I get the missing files from please?

hardz,
I created another directory to get the following extra files that it couldn't find which I took from another XP SP3 computer.
1 - irft.exe
2 - irmon.dll
3 - wshirda.dll
4 - rfcomm.sys
5 - bthpan.sys
I think that the file "bthpan.sys" was in the I386 directory; I just copied it over anyways.
I tested it with a small bluetooth wireless mouse I use; works fine after you install the rest of the files needed.
So just copy the above files over to a local Joggler XP directory and when it asks for the files just go to that directory and you should be ok.
It would be nice to get BT audio from the Joggler. I never could get it to work right with my Asus Netbook with my BT stereo headsets that I use with my cell phone when watching movies while flying.

I had similar problems installing a USB soundcard and alternate onboard sound drivers. I uploaded those files on the thread a few pages back. Not the files you're after, hardz, just that it happens. You might find that the files it prompts for are already there in c:\windows or c:\windows\system32 and you'll just be overwriting them - i did for some of them. Do a quick search of c: and it might save you some time.
I've attached the .sys file you asked for, plus the .sys, .exe and .dll files Pete listed above.

Still Joggling here, but I'm using them mostly for my own stuff around the house. Seems that while integrating embedded components into XP works, starting with embedded does not result in a bootable Joggler. The normal trouble shooting methods I would use don't apply because of the efi bootloader. We can't add switches to boot into safe mode, for instance. PE is still a possibility as I've seen it working, albeit in chinese and without HW drivers.
I'll finish writing up the Wiki of how to build your own XP for the Joggler.

I have got somebody working on a pe, they are a bit more experienced in the pe world then me, I have given them all the drivers and told them whats needed from it so we will see what happens!

Great news, Dan. I'm clueless beyond sticking a PE disk in and booting it. Really hoping it goes well.
