Hi,
Thanks for all your work on this.
I'm having problems getting Spotify working on SqueezeBox however. I get an error gegs mentioned a while back about "bad player -5" and mismatched IP addresses, but I couldn't find a resolution. It was working for a while, but now says this in the logs:
Code: Select all
[22:14:24.255529] main:586 req: stream.flc res: spotify:track:<chopped> par: player=00%3Ac9%3A14%3Ad0%3A90%3A98&start=0&sync=1&id=17 prot: SPOTSTREAM/1.0 auth: (null)
[22:14:24.255630] main:776 newstream connection from 127.0.0.1
[22:14:24.255663] main:812 streamid: 0 newid: 17 type: FLAC
[22:14:24.269951] check_player:242 1: <chopped>
[22:14:24.274614] check_player:279 2: <chopped>
[22:14:24.274721] check_player:291 player address mismatch 127.0.0.1 192.168.1.67
[22:14:24.274835] main:834 unable to play on this player: -5
This occurred around the time I tried to get the BBC iPlayer streaming to work, but not sure if this is connected.
The LMS is also running on the Joggler. I have disabled the official Spotify plug-in.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks.

Hmmm, so I changed the stream rate from 320 to 128, and it now seems to work. I'm guessing this uses a different codec which works correctly.
Cheers.

I use the Triode Spotify plugin but both versions are selected on the server plugins page. I'm not sure why that is - if I've left the official one installed because Triode's wouldn't work on its own maybe? I can't remember but it doesn't cause any problems; I just make sure I always choose the orange Spotify logo for playback.
320 or 128 streams both work for me. I'm pretty sure it says OGG streams for both on the info screen.

Just wanted to say a quick thanks to roobarb! and everyone else involved with bringing sqPOS to the Joggler. Mine had been sat in the loft unused for a long time now and I just discovered this yesterday. Today I have a working wireless sound setup in my kitchen! Awesome work.

Huh, we've got the same fridge!
Glad it's working for you!

Joggler! What Joggler? Fridge! What fridge?
Like a true Scotsman my pupils remain rigidly fixed on the bottle of Highland Park.

Hee hee. And i'm interested in the speakers. How are they powered and are they any good - if so, would you please tell me the make & model? I've been looking for something with a bit more oomph than the jogglers own. Thanks.

Am having issues with LMS recognising new albums, tracks, etc.
My set up is SqP OS + LMS running on internally mounted 8GB usb stick feeding multiple Jogglers running PnPIII, external nas drive with music, everything hard wired via ethernet.
Have installed the LMS plugin that says new music will be instantly recognised when added but it doesn't seem to work.
Have also set LMS to update overnight via settings but that just made SqP take ages to wake up (ie find the library again) the following morning.
Anyone else experienced similar?
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi Fishy. As you may remember our settings are very similar - jogglers separated at birth?
My music is on a usb. The only time (so far) that I added new music to my usb I manually asked lms to rescan the library via my laptop. Not sure if this helps or even if it's what you mean or indeed if it was the right thing to do but it did work.

Wierd; lost only my BBC stuff on my Joggler SqP today. I can listen to radio stations from all over the UK except for the BBC.

Same for me - tried to listen to 5Live over breakfast via SqP iPlayer add-in and couldn't get anything.
TalkSport worked fine though.
Must be a BBC thing....

Is this with the 3rd party iPlayer plugin? Have you tried choosing a different codec? I'm sure there's a drop-down on the plugin settings page for streaming preferences - it might help.

I was hoping that it wasn't me.
I did noticed looking at the web SqueezePlay server interface that it appears to start playing then quits.
I tried changing Codecs yesterday. That said I am able to utilize my radio satellite service to listen to it; but I only have it in the vehicles and not a home.
The SB server is running on my Linux MythTV box.
My alternative is to manually configure the links in TVersity and use those instead. I have Tversity / PlayOn TV running another box.
Today will give my MythTV box and XBMC boxes a try just relating to the BBC.
Going off on a tangent here...
A few weeks back I went on a sort of sabbatical not reading the newspaper, looking at news on the Internet, watching local news or any live TV (other than testing my MythTV box) and really only listening to the BBC.

Weird! BBC isn't working for me on SqpOS or PnPIII versions of SqueezePlay. They're working on the Lounge app though.

I have one Joggler touchscreen client configured like a "clock radio".
That said I had manually put in links to the BBC and just tried them.
I also tried it via the tunein feature of the Squeezeplayer; same link; no messages though; doesn't play.
Just looked at another link I was using for the BBC stuff from mp32 dot bbc dot streamuk dot com.
Message on the website states the server is down.

Erm, all BBC stations playing fine here on the East Coast of the UK via Squeezeplay iPlayer Listen Live in both PnP III and SqueezeOS and also via the Lounge app PnP III.
I'm full of helpful information like this you know!

Thanks offbeatdave.
Not working here near Chicago.
But just tried the Joggler XBMC and it works fine.
I also got it working with the Radio lounge in PnP III for a little bit. Historically this has worked for a few days then it would just quit.
I am using the analog audio port. Does the USB digital port work with PnP III?
I went to using XBMC. I noticed volume is very loud via audio port. Trying the USB digital output on it.
