Pete, one arrived slightly scratched and I messaged the seller. He provided all of the details to ship back so that I could get a new one but the cost of shipping wasn't worth it. I asked for a $15 quid discount and he quickly refunded. The others have all been 100% mint.

also agree that the new discoveries on my new build will be ideal.

All you need is a ewfmgr c: -commit to commit the changes
You can ewfmgr c: -commitanddisable -live to disable temporarily to make any changes you want and then ewfmgr c: -enable to enable on reboot

Alright, looks as though USBoot does not support hibernation as is why the jogglers won't hibernate despite the fact that they support S3 Hibernate. Sorely disappointed in this one :(

I knew the commands, just thinking of maybe a shortcut on the desktop to the command, so unwise users could simply double click.

Unfortunately usboot is a needed factor for the jogglers ntldr, although I will look into it, horm would be awesome for the joggler

AH, weird to see a Canadian say quid lol

Spent a fair bit of time in Britain in my younger days and still have a number of friends hailing from there. Having said that, "pound" has always sounded weird to me unless we're talking dollars and cents (1 pound 50).

Well, you're probably picturing me sitting in my igloo beside my fully laden dogsled awaiting my dialup modem to download jogglerwiki pages

Quick test of ewf: made a bunch of changes to windows and then pulled the power plug while it was still working away. Windows booted again w/o issue and everything is back to normal.

I seem to remember there's a cmd or batch file to commit... Somewhere on the build. Maybe in a shutdown script. I'm on the iPad right now and don't have it to hand.

As for the comments about the different HW or FW, I wonder if anyone who has a better knowledge of the stock OS can see if different machine configurations are catered for. Or is it that Linux is less fussy, as someone said here once.

I just wanted to fix the 2 driver issues!!!!! AAAAAAAAGH! :D

anyway, build 3 is the end of the line for my take on XP SP3. Have fun with that. One of mine is upstairs streaming mpeg2 DVD rips on the network. The drivers can be added later, once we work it out. Notice that I've left all 3 builds live as people will have their own take of what they want from XP. build 1 is a good start point as I hadn't messed about with things too much. Plus, once you have the diskmod driver installed for your boot disk, it's a good 'un.

Dan, I'll remember to post something on the creator's page to thank him for his/her contribution to the western world of Joggling. This, I think is what you've been waiting for. Ditch FFire for EWF. Awesome.

sure is what I been waiting for, a fully ewf xp with full support for a paging file, will have to think of a new build name now though, as the fire brand has died a sudden incompatible death lool also trying to work around filesharing issues with minlogon, if I can get that to work thats the closest we are ever going to get with xpe, although might be worth trying with their newly patched ntldr, which now supports ewf, which is what i thought was stalling the boot before

Looking more that the NTLDR I don't think it's at all patched. The date on it is the exact same as the one on Mevi's first build and the time is only off by a few hours. Size wise they're identical. I'm not sure how that could be though considering ewf requires a different ntldr.

Dan, paging file would have to be on a non ewf drive. Either use the joggler's internal storage or a different partition. I'm not currently using a page file on any of my devices.

Exactly what i was thinking ntldr wise, thats what made me believe ewf was not actually optimised rather just sitting, but it does work, so maybe eric allowed for ewf in the ntldr he originally built, and thinking of maybe an extra partition in the image for exclusively pf usage, that would be best as windows seems to not like not having a paging file

Put the pagefile on the EWF partition. HDD users would get a bit of a performance boost with the page file being on the outer sectors of the HDD.

Oh nvm, seems pagefiling is supprted by ewf, but it also caches pagefile writes, so for improved performance a paging area could be used, but in relity is not essential as ewf will sill use the pagefile
