Very nice Dan. Moving the USB to the inside port. This is the Joggler apart and held together with masking tape. Booted up fine with the internal USB port. Now connecting a USB hub for the keyboard mouse and my little Joggler Utilities memory stick stuff.
Will benchmark boot and shutdown:
Boot time: 1:10 with a Patriot Memory stick (x something or another 8 Gb)
Shutdown time: :25 seconds to shutdown.
I purchased more of these USB SSD sticks and will try one of those too later.
Thank-you Dan. I will keep playing.

Hopefully someone is able to create a .img of this? I'm feeling left out with no ability to write this image

Think Mevi was doing the img file.
Not sure but I think the img file will be larger than the VHD and a bit longer time to download.
Are you using a Wintel machine OS today?

On an unrelated note, could you please dump your EFI partition and send it to me? I have an open peak version without working wifi and ethernet. I'm hoping it's an EFI issue but the rest of my devices are all O2 branded.
If you're unsure how, it's here on the wiki:
http://www.jogglerwiki.com/wiki/Recover ... ricked_EFI
Thanks a lot!
I have 4 out of 5 Jogglers with Ethernet that doesn't work under XP - device has not started {Error 10}. I've tried swapping EFI chips around with no luck there. I think Dan's joggler is the same, too.
EDIT: actually 3 out of 5... one of mine just started working.

It's not an OpenPeak issue as hardware-wise, they are very similar. I think the touchscreen may be different as a build made on an OpenPeak won't work on an O2 without 'updating' the drivers. Something I've just done and repackaged in an IMG with the EFI partition. Dan, it'll be live later this evening.
Mev, this OpenPeak version has non-functioning wifi and ethernet in Linux, O2, and Windows but the EFI is 100% match to my O2 branded joggler. Hoping that there is a SLIGHT diff in the OpenPeak EFI that'll make these work.
Thanks Mick for providing this file!

Here's the link to the zipped IMG file. Loaded it on an O2 to detect all the hardware. What we have all discovered over the months is that once fully loaded and hardware detected on an O2 Joggler, then it'll run fine on both varieties. It makes use of both WIFI and Ethernet on my main O2 and OpenPeak Jogglers.
Dan, aside from moving the startup script to the recycle bin (don't think that'll be needed now) and putting it in an IMG with an EFI partition that works with a hub, I've not touched anything else. Good work, well done.

Pause.
Mevi; try to install a program.
I am having issues here. Something about file association keeps coming up.

Using Mevi's repackaged IMG and an O2 branded device I can install programs but get the following error message when they attempt to run:
Unable to execute file:
blah blah blah filename
Create process failed; error code 14001
The application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect.
The curious part is that I WAS able to install tightvnc without issue BUT cannot connect to it via port 5900 as per usual. My vnc program gives me an error when trying to connect stating that the service is misconfigured. I've used tightvnc for years and know it's not a config issue.
Soo, SOMETHING is preventing applications from running and/or running properly.

I believe it's the lack of .net of any variety in this build.. I'm downloading net 3.5 and will report in the morn.
Cheers!

Ok, I redownloaded the original vhd, to save any messing with img files, and updated windows installer to 4.5, and installed a program that can be a bitch to run, XBMC eden beta 3, and it installed and ran perfectly. All I can suggest is to update the installer with this link here
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/de ... px?id=8483
WindowsXP-KB942288-v3-x86.exe is the file you want

Manxam,
Yes same here. I didn't even think of dot net or looked. Sorry about that Dan.
I use the dot net stuff though for my touchscreen stuff (text to speech, VR and display stuff). I didn't install any of it though yet.
Will install shortly.
Yes I like the new XBMC eden beta 3. So it runs OK on the Joggler eh Dan?
The new XBMC made me start using the media center PC again. It was configured for MCE; which I really never liked (original and new W7 flavor).
I had switched over to the NMT; but I like the XBMC / additional applications better.

Installed Windows Installer 4.5 on previously downloaded VHD build.
Only one add of VNC for now (such that I could take some screen pictures).
Still having issues configuring VNC. I see an error box.
C:\Program Files\UltraVNC\WinVNC.exe
This file does not have a program associated with it for performing
this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel.
Installing dot net 2.0 next. (I don't know though that that'll work).
It did not.
Reviewing services running....
Removed WinVNC....
Something is missing....doing google searches....
Ran "Fix cleaner" portable on it.
Just the system cleaner, junk cleaner, privacy cleaner, activex cleaner and PC Optimizer.
Noticed that I had two paging files. I created another partition and put one there and forgot to remove the original one.
Still the same. ...trying not to add anything...

I got it working now. But I did a bunch of reg edits a few minutes ago and I don't remember all of them cuz I did them so fast.
Here are some pics. Using 1.24 Gb of space; very nice Dan.
