Really not doing too much relating to Homeseer other than testing it (takes 5 minutes) for the TTS base. no issues with any of those pieces since your first build there Dan.....but playing with a W2008R2 W2011 Vail edition which right now looks to be some weird hybrid of W7 and W2008 and a bit of a splat of sorts (really not doing anything today with it)...concentrating on hopefully one thing...it really only takes me 5 minutes for the Christmas cards (not really) once I know what to write....

I'll mod the posted links with working better ones (sans FF and Journal for now....faster to do...)..before the end of the day...

Always better to have choices....(I am getting way too old these days).....lol...funny just shut down the Joggler "tweaked" build and I get two identical on one display screens when it is shutting down ....oh what did I do to this build....lol....

I think we've all mostly built/re-built/adapted/killed/re-built so many XP builds, that it's difficult not to get in there and tweak stuff. I found myself clicking away at Dan's build like a man possessed. I'll download the new Dan/Pete collaboration ASAP.

I got two new Open Peak Power supplies yesterday for the US. So just set up another Joggler on the desk (what the heck....eh?)

Just working using a 4 GB memory stick instead of the USB SSD with this one...btw shrank the image a bit more such that it'll fit on more of the 4Gb memory sticks..

I thought i shrank the vhd image enough to fit on a four gig?

well I broke the 2 that I made, so I'll download the new one and play with that instead.

get this, my newest tweaked version is based on petes tweaked version thats based on ffxp,

edit scratch that building from scratch, should only take a few hours the original vbox image survived a bout of hirens boot cd to rescue it

Having issues. I was ready to upload it. Last part was writing it to a variety of sticks including the USB SSD; which I didn't do before now. Its fine on the sticks but there is something different about the way it works between a regular memory stick and the SSD stick. I can't figure it out though; so just posting the image. I did do the boot reboot warm boot cold boot thing with this one to check and it booted fine. Removing some stuff wasn't the solution though. It does boot into touch mode and works with or without a hub.

This is Dan's FFXP sans FF image.

I am just the audience participation piece of this endeavor.

what happens on a hdd? or have you not tried, and weird with the ssd, thought that would of worked better than a stick

playing around some tonight, the dx9 hw acceleration on the joggler is quite a beast!! lo

pushing it a little, have dreamscenes, sidebar and rocketdock running, I thought it would struggle but it doesn't even break a sweat lol

I am now uploading again a new image - but will be stopping it shortly - faster tonight than last night.

The problem is still there and now thinking of halting the upload for that reason.

Cuz most folks will write the image to a memory stick and it will break.

Not sure Dan and your guesses are as good as mine right now...

So the image is not ok on any device? still working fine over here, have uninstalled flashfire and ran cc cleaner, will upload this image tomorrow if you like, the fact its been run on an o2 joggler and an openpeak joggler also is a plus for me, what is it thats breaking?

I have tried the image on both a hdd and a usb stick and both are fine here, i really dont get whats up as I have done the exact same here as all of my other images.

will give this one more try tonight, running all diagnostics and repairs possible then i will upload for you guys to try.

Personally it doesn't make sense to me.

Lately only would just boot from a memory stick; not really play to much with it. The playing went over to using just the zif, mini IDE and USB SSD.

It is a confusing one, but hope to get it sorted, even if i cannot sort it gonna find the iso i used and rebuild from the ground up, too much of a good build to be dumped i think

My personal favorite right now is your last build Dan. The tablet pieces, XMBC and SB add icing to the cake.

Mevi your build too is my other personal favorite.

I refuse to wear reading glasses; don't really need them yet (?).

The large icons were really were nice mostly because of the sensitivity to them versus the eye candy piece which I could not replicate doing this or that for whatever reason; second build was a step above the first build.

I started to lose track a bit so this evening arranged the memory sticks and USB SSDs with small little yellow post-it notes.; mostly because the USB SSDs look alike.

I don't consider my build 2 to be much of a success due to the added bloat, slower boot and shut down, etc. Build 1 was superior in many ways. I'm part way through building it's replacement, with the page file fix, less bloat, other stuff.
