JazzMod:Source InDev 1 (coming soon)

Post by jazzmista »

Image
Hello and welcome to JazzMod:Source! This a source build of ICS for Joggler, based on Mijuu's excellent work. At the moment it has no extra features (due to the issues I have been having with my build environment), but I think I've cracked OpenPeak 7E WiFi support and I will add more community-requested features soon.

Changelog:
InDev 1
  • Built from source
Timezone Fix (incorporating Google Play Store fix)
    English Default Language
V1.0
  • Working GoogleServicesFramework.apk and com.android.vending.apk (market)
    Default language is English
    Wiped Data partition
OI File Manager installed (same as used on CyanogenMod)
    Custom Boot Animation
A fair number of apps will not display in the market due to them not being compiled for X86 - nothing I can do about it until the developers enable support for X86, which is growing! This will be rectified with InDev 2, which will enable ARM Emulation support.

(v1.0 ONLY - new download links coming after testing)

537mb expands to ~3.8gb, and it will fit on a 4GB USB stick :-)

EDIT: Tutorial (which I completely forgot about!)
1) Download using link above
2) Extract zip file
3) On Windows, use Win32 Image Writer (https://launchpad.net/win32-image-writer) to write to your USB drive
4) Plug in and go!

Thanks to Mijuu over at Mporting: http://www.mporting.com

Enjoy!

thanks.
Is it normal that it takes long to start? I put the USB Stick into the Joggler. It starts Android. Now it stoppt at a blue Screen with the flashing JazzMod for Joggler writting. The USB Stick LED stopped flashing.

currently I use ubuntu. This allows me to use a wireless mouse & keyboard using a usb dongle.

Will I be able to use a wireless mouse & keyboard with this android ICS image?

Sorry about this!

Is the ICS For Joggler text still appearing and disappearing? If it is, then it is still booting - it can take around 10-15 minutes for first boot sometimes :-(

If not, try reflashing your USB stick - it happened once on a Mijuu build for me and it worked fine after a reflash!

I'm not sure... The best way to find out is to try it :-)

Currently testing your apps...

Angry Birds - no
TuneIn Radio - boots, can view streams but force closes
Economist - sort of but messes up status bar (with buttons) big style

Will update this post as I do more tests

Working just fine over here, thanks!

1st boot took a bit longer than usual, but not that long tbh. Market did the thing where you had to press Wait, and then bounced into life. One thing I am missing so far is a 'reboot' button/widget, but I guess root is something we can't do yet?
