OpenPeak Inc. Bankruptcy

Post by craig_1234 »

Some of you might already know this, but OpenPeak Inc. filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy on September 27th 2016. https://businessbankruptcies.com/cases/openpeak-inc

They got rid of most of their staff in December 2016. However, over the past few weeks during bankruptcy proceedings all online services have been removed (or expired) and they are in the process of selling the patents they currently hold. The websites http://www.openpeak.net and http://www.openpeak.com have also disappeared.

This will begin to cause problems with the Joggler and other OpenPeak devices as the app store is linked to http://op01.openpeak.net/openpeak/ and the update mechanism is linked to https://services.openpeak.net

We're there any live services still running?
E.g. Verizon / Swisscom

If yes then expect some more to appear on eBay

The Verizon / Cisco / Utility and other Openpeak devices purchased a couple of years ago have never connected to the internet.

These are the combo Openpeak devices with Zigbee and DECT chips.

Yes.

I would always try once only then rewrite the EFI boot rom.

Hu guys,

Hmm we lost the squeezeplay icon on three of our jogglers. Probably because of the shut down?
Even the /appshop folder and the applications.xml files are gone...

Any quick fix for this?

thanks,
Christian

If you explain your interests in what this forum is all about - be specific - then you have a much better chance of being taken seriously. Until then you will probably be considered as a spoof account that is preparing to send spam once accredited.
