Pi Core Player

Post by roger l »

I have looked at upgrading to 24 bit sound for my LMS. This is easily achievable with any recent Raspberry Pi following the instructions on constructing a Pi Core Player, The pictures look so familiar.

The whole project is here:https://www.picoreplayer.org/
To set up a starter 24bit system this may help

Then Software configured to your choice.

PS The "Bonnet" to add on to the Raspberry pi for 24 bit sound is here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PCM5102A-DAC ... SwB09YPVbA
It is the same board as in the last video above without the brand,
Occasionally described as a Headphone amplifier. It is tiny and costs £2.74 !!!!
It is a "Bonnet" (not a HAT)

That skin, which was an absolute nightmare to work on, seems to have gone on to a life of its own! I'm sure I originally called it WVGAsmallSkin, but when I revisited it recently I could find changes from all over! Awesome. :D

The latest version is definitely called WVGAsmallSkin, though it's definitely still got formatting bugs.
