Those Busbi sticks from Argos are quite good, extremely small and you don't even notice them when plugged in. I use one in the Alpine stereo in the motor, as the USB port is on the front, as a normal stick is too long, and prone to twatting when getting a bout of road rage.

Hi there,

I've read through this post but it doesn't seem to confirm which USB stick works for the Joggler.

I'm trying to use one I got from sainsburys but my joggler isn't recognising it. I have a 2gb sd card in a usb card reader which the joggler recognises, but when I try a 4gb SD card the joggler doesn't!

Its all a bit of a mine-field but I don't want to keep buying USB memory sticks until I find something to work!

What do you use? Links to Amazon would be great.

:)

I've used Kingston DataTraveller (4gb, 8gb and 16gb) without any problems. They don't have a blindingly fast data transfer rate but they work.

Corsair Voyager sticks have a really fast transfer rate, so I've read, but I don't know if they are Joggler-friendly. Has anyone else on the forum used one?

Have used one of these:

Not sure what the data transfer rate is but seems fine with the jolicloud image.

Transcend 8GB JetFlash 600 works with joggler. It's actually quite fast for the money, I get ~12MB/s write and ~30MB/s read. Not that small though.

Hi. I need a 32GB drive that I want to install XP on and do some photo tagging on. Has anyone tried this one: http://www.mymemory.co.uk/USB-Flash-Dri ... lash-Drive
Or does anyone have any alternatives?

I have the Trust hub which has worked in the past.

Thanks.

I use the baby brother's of those also. Work fine. Better still is a 32Gb USB SSD; more money though.

Post above is spam

Just seen play have a 3 day sale on usb flash, which includes a small profile 16GB Sandisk for £10 :

http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/-/3242/2509/ ... type=genre

And a 32GB larger stick for £15 :

http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/-/3242/2509/ ... type=genre

I've just used one of the 32GB Play sticks with XUbuntu on the Joggler and I'm blown away by how fast it is. When I booted it the first time I thought my Joggler had crashed, but it had booted and gone into the screen saver. I know I put Ubuntu onto an older stick, but it is just amazing how fast XUbuntu is.

If you buy from Play would can get a bit of cash back if you go through TopCashBack or QuidCo...

The small profile SanDisk could be good if you just wanted to use the Joggler like a tablet, with your distro of choice.

Good find BuZz - I'm very tempted as it could make a Joggler into a great little tablet - just need to think of the best thing to do with the stand. Actually the stand makes a good carrying handle !

Also, if you buy via TopCashBack, there's 4%+ back :

Never heard of them before but they have some very good reviews on TCB.

What I was thinking of doing before, was to just use the small USB to MicroSD card adaptors. These are small, but not as nice looking as the Kingston stick here.

ive used em before and no problems. They are reasonably big I think. certainly they are like play and other sites that occasionally have some decent deals. However the only thing is I have no idea of the speed of this stick. it could be horrible. I saw another micro stick the other day the same size that had some big speed claims.. and I forgot where I saw it!! argh
