MMC-MicroSD card question for Buzz

Post by pete »

Trying an experiment soldered on a microSD card slot to the Openpeak tablet top device motherboard. Looking at the booting kernel it is seeing three SD controllers and only the built in 2Gb MMC.

Just experimenting and wondering a bit.

Should it see the microSD card with the current/latest Ubuntu base image?

Or are the traces on the board not connected to anything?

This is using the base EFI boot rom. I was going to try the seabios rom next.

What do ya think Buzz?

I don't know - which board is this ? Not sure I know it.

Either the device i unsupported in the kernel, or it's not physically connected but I don't know which.

It is the Openframe 2.

Maybe I soldered the pins incorrectly?

Will post a picture of the microsd card holder soldered in to place.

Card slot purchased - guesstimate per drawings was pin #1 is on top left. Soldered pin #9 to ground tab.
