Fixing a trashed Joggler (or II) with PATA connector

Post by pete »

Documenting a fix for a non bootable Joggler.

s - starts to boot; nothing happens. Tried a boot stick again nothing happens
o - opening it up and see nothing out of the ordinary
a - swap out boot flash to test boot. rewrite mmc
1 - swapped out boot flash - works
2 - using swapped out boot flash rewriting mmc (format and etc). Using a copy of the MMC written to a USB stick.
3 - formatted MMC and rewrote it with current O2 updated firmware.
4 - will also rewrite the boot flash shortly.
5 - appeared to be a bad write on the MMC
p - Reused original flash boot chip. Formatted MMC in "vivo"; DD'd original stuff (O2 Firmware) and all was well.
