Did I find a defective OpenFrame-Joggler?

Post by pete »

While testing a newly aquired OpenPeak labeled Joggler I think I found it to have a problem.

No matter how many times I tried to write to the EFI boot chip I could not. That said though the chip it came with booted up right away and was fine.

I had to write a new EFI boot chip on another Joggler then replace the existing EFI boot with another boot chip.

This is the first time I have seen this and wondering why I couldn't write to the EFI boot chip. I also tried to write to a brand new one on the same said device and could not.

I did also try to write to the chip in a variety of ways and could not; it would hang on the write each time.

BUT this could be something related to this device being an OpenPeak versus an O2 Joggler.

The motherboard does have the Zigbee chip and it is different from the O2 motherboard.
