Joggler eye candy

Post by dps5pt »

I was broswing for 800x480 wallpaper for the Joggler last night when I hit uppon an app for XP called rainmeter, which is a windows desktop skin/theme app.

I download the Omnimo skin, which gives a metro look to the desktop perfect for the Joggler. I think it looks pretty good and runs well on Mevi's excellent XP build, which is my favorite OS for the Joggler at the moment. The possibilites for customising skins appear to be endless. Anyways enough waffling candy is attached!.....

Thanks, dps5pt!

Good to hear you're getting use out of XP. :)

This is a great looking skin and I think it adds an up to date shine to XP. I think I'll stick this on one of my always-on Jogglers.

Yeah its a rock solid build - I'm using a usb attached hdd so not worried about wear out and expanded the c partition to 18GB so lots of room for tinkering.

Even with all the eye candy gadgets the cpu just hovers around the 5% - bought for £49.99 over 2 years ago and its still keeps me entertained...love tinkering ;)

How does it affect boot time? Rainmeter kills some of my older computers. Guess I should just try it myself to find out. Great find anyway.

No noticble effects on boot time - still early days as far as ram usage if left running for long periods. But so far so good.

Yeah, rainmeter is awesome, I use it over my windows currently, as I could not make my own launcher, it works well.
Fullscreen squeezeplay windows, server 2003, foshiz mini v1 and v2, (and a few broken builds) :P so far.....

I haven't been on this forum in a while but I've been using the XP build by yourself or perhaps dan? (can't really remember) solidly as a wireless bridge for satellite receiver/mac for a while now. It was forced upon me when a wifi dongle and a router working as a bridge both broke simultaneously, so thanks very much to everyone for coming up with these images :D

Might give rainmeter a go too, the joggler is a bit wasted just sitting there with a black screen.
