Oh, it'll be a shame if it has. Can't test mine at the moment so please can others report if it's stopped updating. Thanks.

It looks like the Joggler's internal memory was on the way out (again!) as it started to hang at the O2 logo & needed a reflash. After I had done this the icons remembered where they had been moved after a reboot. I'm starting to think that the Joggler's internal memory is made from Weetabix - this is about the 10th time I've needed to reflash it since I bought it! I can't help thinking that it might be linked to the fact that the only way of turning it off is to pull the power. Why on earth didn't Openpeak include a shutdown icon?

Any ideas about how to remove unwanted icons from the home screen?

Mine's stuck on the 10th - the day i installed it pnpiii. In the 'news' icon sky news seems to be working but not the 2 sky sports apps - they both say 'sorry this feed is currently unavailable. Please try again later'. As i don't use these not sure if that is normal.

Basically, it's a quick and easy way to greatly enhance the functionality and usefulness of your Joggler whilst retaining the ease of use of the original operating system!

Hi Dave.
Thanks again from a newbie:
Bought my Joggler on ebay - it arrived today (w/ original O2 s/w).
I upgraded following your post w/ your files.
-> WORKS right away.
Great! Thanks for all your work!

I still have 1 question, though:
I would like to see my NAS folders via Connect & Play.
I tried to follow instructions to mount a share:

Code: Select all

mount -t cifs //192.16.1.59\station /mnt/photo -o guest
or

Code: Select all

mount -t cifs //192.16.1.59/station /mnt/photo -o guest
but it's not working :(
'mounting failed - No such device' or no response at all, but also no contens in mnt/photo.....
Note: the share station is public, also I created the photo dir in mnt.
Also note, that the SqueezePlayer finds the LMS, which is running on my NAS w/o a problem
I searched the forum and did not find a solution.
What am I doing wrong???
Any hints???

Thanks again.

Thanks, I already saw that but I was hoping to comment out some of the icons in a config file rather than changing the whole swf file.

Some are in the /openpeak/gui/applications.xml file on the OpenPeak updated Joggler.
Some are in the /openpeak/gui/applications.xml file on the non-OpenPeak updated Joggler.
The rest are in /media/appshop/applications.xml (I think from memory). It may be /media/app-cfg/applications.xml - I'm not near a Joggler to check at the moment. Sorry.

I found a way - just if anybody is interested:
I left all the mounting business aside.
Instead, I switched on the UPnP Server on my NAS (Synology DS207+).
And: The media folders from my NAS showed up right away in connect & Play and I can play them that way.
(Only drawback: They still don't show up through the different individual Players on the Joggler (Music / Photos / Videos), but this is only a minor issue)

:D :D

I think that the players are only for usb devices and stuff on the joggler. I will add your info to the first post when i get a chance. I may be putting on an all in one version of the players for music video and photos from my openpeak device in a couple of weeks and a different version of connect and play to try out too, also from the openpeak device.

I was wondering, why Sky News (originally first screen, third row, third from the left) is not able to update itself. Is there any solution for this?

The feed was due to be dropped back in may so it's a miracle it's lasted this long. It did stop temporarily once before.

I just hope that the Lounge Radio app doesn't go the same way.

It won't as i replaced the o2 feeds with generic ones from the lounge. If they ever stop then they will just need changing. The station icons are now all stored locally on the joggler too.

Doh!
Does that mean, we can change the available stations within the Lounge App??
That would be great, since I can not get the UK lokal stations (not allowed as I am located in Germany) and there are other stations I would like to add.
Could you help and let me know in which file this needs to be edited (station as well as icon)?

Thanks & have a good weekend.

It's something like openpeak/gui/apps/o2_radio/jogContent.xml if i remember correctly without looking. It'll be fairly obvious how the file works and the location me the icon files should be referenced there too.

Have a look on Google for radio station feeds you want to have on your Joggler and copy the feed location. Also right click on the icon for each station & copy the image location. You can then edit the jogContent.xml file with this information (I used Notepad++ in Windows) and change the Name & Description & Genre fields to whatever you want.. Please note that you need to edit pre-existing stations in the list, you cannot add new entries. It's best to substitute a WMA stream with another WMA one, likewise for MP3 streams. Most of the editable stations are in the Top Commercial Stations section.

BTW has anyone found a feed for 101.ru Pink Floyd or Birdsong Radio? I cannot find any that work in the Joggler.
