Any idea?
Did you have any luck finding a video player that works?
Haven't heard anything about one :(

Still no reply from Mijuu, so I might have to build 1.1 from IMG again - not ideal but it will still contain a few tweaks :)

My aims are to make it a lot more stable and get SuperUser working (the last one may not happen but it's worth a shot!)

Get this one here http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-player ... .2_x86.apk

Is ugly as hell but works like a charm :)

Thanks for the tip Fartface.
How can I get it to access Windows network shares (SMB)?

Try cifs manager from the market, to mount smb shares, or upnplay to play media over windows network. Not sure if these work on x86 though
Fullscreen squeezeplay windows, server 2003, foshiz mini v1 and v2, (and a few broken builds) :P so far.....

Thanks for the suggestion Dan.
I tried Cifs manager but get "No Such Device" when I know that the same settings work on the older version of Android.
This is what the Author of Cifs Manager has to say:

"No such device".
A: Your current kernel or rom lacks the necessary CIFS support. Try to find a matching kernel module (cifs.ko) or use a rom with explicit CIFS support.

Will try upnplay.

That is something I was not sure on, whether Mijjuu included the cifs.ko module.

Just tried upnplay but it says "unsupported format" when I try to play avi's and mp4 videos.

Good news! Mijuu's replied and he's said he is going to release the source :D

Also, ICS 4.0.3 Alpha2 for Joggler is out - http://www.mporting.com/2012/03/ics-4-0 ... er-alpha2/ , it adds lots of stuff including fixing SystemUI crashes and GApps by default.

I'll still work on JazzMod though, but with modifications in the source (I really want to get SuperUser working!)

Is there any 'fix' for the display adapter issue? For me, that is the biggest issue as I would really like to use the Joggler as a media player everything stutters like crazy!

Had a quick blast of Mijuu's latest alpha, there is only 3 differenced in the actual files: grub.cfg; lang=EN is *removed*, ramdisk.img, system.img (unknown changes). I just replaced the changed .img files and booted. No touchscreen. Maybe something else in there I missed....

Touch screen was ok when I gave it a go, more apps working, nice quick browser still.
It wouldn't remember wireless settings etc tho.
Think this one is ready for the Jazzmod treatment now with market pretty please so us less technical sorts can give it a whirl. ;-)

Advantage of JazzMod - at the moment all my tweaks are in the data partition, so the files within the Alpha2 download can just be put into the primary partition (assuming you have three partitions...) and it will be updated (but keeping Market, WiFi Settings, Apps, Google Logins etc. etc.).

New JazzMod will come when the source is released, for now just use this method :)

So i got a fresh Jazzmod image and burnt it to a usb stick using the Win32Diskimager ;
then i downloaded the Alpha2 files from Mporting and just dragged them across to my stick , overwriting when it asked .
I now seem to have a working Alpha2 image with JazzMod and the wifi settings stay on reboot , with working PlayStore (market) .
It seems pretty damn fast as was the original , just messing about with it at the mo to see what works .
Please correct me if what i did above was not right

I have tried to run the Jazzmod img on a telio touch (openpeak) device but having problems getting it to boot

on the screen it says
[ 1.168459 ] EFI : ioremap of 0x1FAF0000 failed!
[ 2.021225] i8042: No controller found
Detecting android-x86... found at /dev/sda1
Setting MAC for eth0 to '00:11:22:33:44:55:66'

but then just freezes, after about 5 minutes the screen goes blank

any thoughts on what might be going wrong

for info the device runs Ubuntu and Mint ok

thanks
Nick

It could be a difference in hardware, do any of the other images boot? IE: windows/ubuntu

I am trying to get ICS working with wireless on a Openpeak 7E device. Very similar to the joggler. I have Mijuu 1.2.3a working on Ethernet but not wireless. On the latest ICS image, I can't get ethernet or wireless working.

I have Ubuntu working fine on ethernet and wireless but not able to get wireless to work on either version of Android. It appears that maybe the Openpeak 7E has a different wireless interface and needs a different driver. What is installed on both Android images is RT3070STA. This does not work at all. On the working Ubuntu install, the driver is showing as RT2870STA.

I am looking in /etc/Wireless on all these images.

Anyone know how to update this driver on these Android images?

Thanks,
