What can i do with a joggler in this day and age?

I have 2 from a while back and used to use squeeze OS, but not just use echoes and chromecasts.

Is there anything reasonable to do with jogglers that justifies keeping them?

They can show the GUI from the Echo to show what's playing music and the Artwork wise or what your commands are also it shows mistakes etc.

You could use as a bedside clock / radio .

Set up as a dedicated device say for a weather station .

Or none of the above and send them to me ;-)

I utilize 15 of them as touch screen interfaces with SAPI speech to the automation mothership. Years now. Hardware modded with RTC clock, ZIF SSD drive and internally connected USB 2.0. Made to last as there is no screen burn in today. They are on 24/7 and screens off at night.

Custom screens do music, lighting control, security, cctv, a clock, a screen saver and interact with Echo and Kinect.

Hi Gary,

How do you set it up to show the GUI from the echo? Is it just with the echo app on Android?

From Xubuntu launch a browser ( all browsers may not be compatible )
Point it to alexa.amazon.com .

It would also be possible to get the Joggler to launch straight to this page on start up but I haven't done that yet .
