Pure Jongo upnpbridge settings

Post by castalla »

Here are the settings I have for the Jongo.

All the below applies to the settings of the UPNPBridge plugin in LMS.

I list only the completed settings - all others are blank

Disable the Bridge before editing the config categories

Select the Jongo from the drop down list - next to the red 'An EMPTY parameter value .....'

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Name choose whatever you want

HTTP mode fixed large size Streaming timeout 600

Directory /BUFFER Max Size 52000000

Supported codecs aac,flc,pcm,mp3 Maxsample rate 48000 FLAC header normal

Unc, format wav,aiff

Player is enabled yes

Send LMS metadate yes

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Be sure to press Apply - then enable the Bridge

The Jongo player should appear on the player drop-down list on the LMS main gui

--------------------------------------------------------------------

NOTE

the /BUFFER folder is optional. Create it by mkdir /BUFFER - use winSCP to change the properties to nogroup [65534] and squeezeboxserver [106]

Thanks for this Castalla , will try this tomorrow , when you say disable the bridge then select the Joggler from the dropdown list are you talking about from within the Pure Connect app or a web server ?
Apologies for my ignorance but the Jongo is new to me ;-)

No - everything is applied/operated via the LMS gui - interface.

Think of LMS and Pure Connect as 2 completely separate ways to operate the Jongo.

Failed on this one tonight :-( I have the Jongo on and can see it is connected to my network as I can see it on the Pure Connect App on my phone.
I opened up a browser on my PC and navigated to 192.168.1.181:9000 the LMS GUI as you said .
A bit lost now on select the Jongo from the dropdown list next to the Red an empty parameter , I can't see this at all ...
Will keep plugging away ..

I think you should update to the latest firmware. The latest is 2.4 . Without that we are not talking the same language!

I would remove the flc and PCM from suported codecs as the Jongos don't support flac or pcm it seems as I have recently found out this weekend.

Check its not being transcoded. My 96khz Flac played but was being transcoded to mp3. All my 44.1 Khz failed to play at all unless I removed flc and pcm from the codecs.

No transcode as far as I can tell - in LMS gui the more info panel shows only flac - no transcode given.

It always says the source in the gui not what its being transcoded to, it will be in the upnp log if its transcoding. I am interested to know if it does the same as my setup and if not why as Philippe seemed to think the device reports back that it does not support flac.

Could you try disabling mp3 from the FLAC File conversion options in LMS and see if they still play. For me if that's not enabled it wont play any of my flacs at all as its basically transcoding them to mp3 on the fly.

Bugger, why does it not work for me? Going to have to knock this back to the dev of the plugin. I also have to set Tidal plugin to be mp3 or they dont play as native flac.
