@Mickchip

Have you tried another EFI boot ROM on the Joggler?

The ROM is a bit different than the O2 ROM.

That said the base motherboard design is sourced from the original Openpeak design.

I have tried a few differant roms from my collection, am now using the Avia one on my open peak joggler because the screen is bright from the start. Makes it easier to read when your in the efi shell.

Yup here went to the Avaya ROM as a primary for the Openpeak devices. I do like it the best.

Thinking now because there was something in it (maybe you mentioned it a couple of years back) relating to looking at both the pata port and the USB port relating to booting on the ROM. I do have an Openpeak these days running BuZz's Ubuntu from the get go of an EFI configured ZIF SSD. Its been fine now for while. This is a test one now with a USB hub connected internally, RTC clock and NIC update. I ran out of room for the USB WLAN stick inside so have removed it.

I did notice something very different between the original O2 ROM and the Openpeak ROMs though when I was using the SROM programming tool. The defaults did not work on the O2 EFI ROM for the NIC such that I am using two different configurations for the two ROMs.

I have no clue though what the differences are. Just noticing that the OS's now see the NIC as a valid device and I can suspend and WOL the Jogglers.

Don't buy the Netac USB sticks they are way to slow, sandisk ultrafit works way better.
I don't think it's SSD, nothing like the Kingspec ones, Oh well you get what you pay for.

Ordered a USB 3.0 to mSATA device today. It does look similiar in size to the mSATA to ZIF device I purchased and tested a month or so ago.

I have a few of the 1/2 sized mSATA cards. This one may fit inside of the Joggler as it looks a tiny bit smaller. It comes with a tiny case for external use.

Smallest mSATA card I have is 32 Gb which is the same as the ZIF PATA card I am still waiting for.

I also am seeing now m.2 SATA to USB devices except they are still a bit large (well shrinking now).

They do a 256GB one

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Transcend-Jet ... Swa-dWmpqW

You could fit virtually all the joggler OS's on that one

A final build of Snow Leopard. This is 10.6.8 which is the last OS X to work on 32bit CPU's.
there doesn't seem to be much difference to 10.6.6, also "About this Mac" still crashes and the wifi is a bit of a pain but it works.

It's very stable, just that when you click on the apple in the top left corner and the click on "About This Mac" it crashes back to the desktop instead of listing the properties, i.e. "processor, memory, disk size OS version".
When I get chance I will remove the old version and upload the new one.
Will let you know when it's done.

I use Buzz's Ubuntu on my joggler... but would love to try this... however I'm not sure what a "coreboot" joggler is?

Can you elaborate please.

@tmohammad the Joggler has an efi boot system ; coreboot was developed so the Joggler acts more like a standard PC , see this thread
http://www.jogglerwiki.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=686
It involves changing the Joggler and after it is done would not then boot your BuZz Ubuntu build without changing it back again .
I had to be talked through doing it but it was very simple in the end if I remember correctly .
I would recommend also having a spare Joggler to experiment on .
