Android on usb

This works quite well on my old netbook.

It's a bit of a pain to set up - but once done it works better than expected.

Looks interesting. Obvious question - will this work on the Joggler?

Easy enough to test - use the live version (there's both iso and img files). Getting a persistent version requires 2 usb slots. It also takes ages to set up - with several restarts, etc. Once set-up it takes maybe 20 secs to load.

Would it work preparing the persistent USB stick on a PC then putting it in the Joggler or would it all need to be done via the Joggler with a keyboard attached? I'm thinking it would just take one clever person to prepare a persistent installation on a USB then make an image which could be shared :-)

I tried this method with Openelec ( kodi) put it wouldn't work as the Joggler has got a different set up to a normal PC .
Would love to think it would work though :-)

I thought about that ... but after some testing I'm not sure it's up to scratch. Playstore works upto the point when you try to install something - it downloads but then fails to install. Amazon appstore installs work, but key apps are missing there.

I tried the latest version 6 - but that fails to run and just sticks on the splash page.

Hey-ho.

I'm hoping that Herr Kirchhofer comes up with the goods again! http://www.familie-kirchhofer.de/android/index.htm
