Custom kernels hanging at initrd screen

Post by trs79 »

Hi, I've compiled a custom older kernel (2.6.14) while in SqueezePlayOS. I have the proper initrd and vmlinuz files, and I have grub setup properly. The problem is, as the system is booting it hangs on a screen like this:

Code: Select all

[Linux-bzImage setup=0x1c00 size=0x18452b]
Video mode: 800X480-32
Frame buffer base: 0x1fc00005
Video line length: 3200
[Initrd addr=0x17a46000 size=0x330d40]
I've had this hang with other kernel versions I've compiled too, is there something special I need to do for kernels to boot on the Joggler? I couldn't find a Joggler config file for 2.6.14, so I used the closest one I could find (2.6.34) from here http://joggler.exotica.org.uk/source/ke ... .7joggler4 Maybe I missed something in the config?
