Hey all,

I've been in touch with Mijuu @ mporting.com and he's released a new version of his fantastic android build for the joggler for testing. Unfortunatly I am away on business this week so I cant test it out but this is what I think needs to be done.

The release is available at http://www.mporting.com/download/ and is version 1.2.3, based on android x86 2.2.2 , mirror at http://italianknows.com/joggler/Froyo_J ... v1.2.3.zip

I've created a WIKI Page (http://www.jogglerwiki.com/wiki/Mijuu_R ... roid_2.2.2) for this release, and we can use this thread for support/questions etc

Enjoy and let me know how it works.

Hopefully his downloads are faster this week. Will download it tonight. I'll hopefully get a mirror up soon (ish).
Thanks for your dedication to the cause Angelo.

Angelo how did you get screenshots on your blog? None of the screenshot apps work and adbwireless will not connect. I am running out of ideas.

Finally Im currently mirroring the Froyo_Joggler_2.2.2_v1.2.3.zip at my main homepage @ http://www.italianknows.com/joggler (just wait 1hr for it to upload)

I have installed this latest image 1.2.3 but, like version 1.2.2, Titanium Backup is reporting that it is not rooted.

Anyone tried the market installation??? instead of using titaniumPro I think you can achieve the same effect by using <Settings>-<Applications><Manage Apps> and then select the app.. Well this worked on an archos 7" hometablet i tried.

Oh yes, the first boot is always slow with android, even phones, I think its setting things up or somethin.... not sure... but best thing is to let it start and leave it 5mns, then reboot.. should be much quicker..

I managed to get the market to work without using Titaniumpro. Stopping the framework and market, and then clearing the data with manage apps. I had to do it twice as it did not seem to work first time.

All apps? easiest way to check is to see if you can see "pulse" and "skynews".. also worth seeing if bbc news now works in landscape mode..

Pulse and Sky news are there and bbc news is now in landscape.

On mine titanium backup doesn't have root and i can't get squeeze player to install - which for me is the killer app for the joggler..... :-( I'll try a full install again later.

Have you tried Squeeze Player on a working Android platform? How would you rate it?

Squeeze player is fine. I have had it working on my mobile and an Advent Vega. All it does is play so there isn't much to it. It does what it says on the tin, connects to your server no problem etc. Control is through software like Squeeze Commander etc so it's that that you see as the front end. No issues with it at all, but by the nature of the mobile and the vega (i.e portable) they are no good for wiring up to my stereo! I recommend it - if we can get it working on the joggler.

Even though titanium reports the device as not being rooted, Button savior (root) works fine :)

This is the way I did it and it works fine. (even on a 2gb usb stick)

download the 1.2.3 joggler and package from http://www.mporting.com/download/
FAT format a usb stick
extract the contents of Froyo_Joggler_2.2.2_v1.2.3.zip to the usb stick,
extract the contents of Easy_to_use_package_Usbdisk_1.2.3.zip to the usb stick (overwriting any existing files)

You then have the bootable image. You will still have to manually install the google apps as per instructions.

Amigos, I've mirrored the image at my hosting site @ http://italianknows.com/joggler/Froyo_J ... v1.2.3.zip, might be quicker than hooping off to china.

How do you get the keyboard size adjusted and back to a normal 'ascii' one ? Mine has a-z etc, but is stuck with some chinese characters. Any text I enter gets converted into a chinese character set which is kinda frustrating.

Edit: Ah, don't worry - just found out about long-pressing a text entry field to change the input type.
