Openframe USB add

Post by pete »

Today added a second external USB port on the Openframe II (Telio / Avaya device). Works great.
Pic-1.jpg
This is the pin out for the 5 pin connector. Note that the square solder pad is pin #1

1 - VCC - 5VDC
2 - D - White
3 - D-+Green
4 - ID N/A Permits detection of which end of a cable is plugged in:
• "A" connector (host): connected to the signal ground
• "B" connector (device): not connected
5 - Ground

Testing this device with one SSD drive plugged into the USB port on the back and adding the USB camera on the top. The combination 802.11 / Bluetooth card works well.

Looking to make a connector out of the cover that was on the 5 PIN port pictured above.

It is smaller than a standard motherboard 5 pin USB connector and smaller than a micro 5 pin motherboard connector.

Looking at the picture can anyone guess what size or type of connector would have been utilized for this port?
