Free Intel Galileo Development Board

Post by Juggler »

May be of interest to some people and appears to be a worldwide offer :

The application process is not to onerous and you get email confirmations from Microsoft.

The specs for the board look pretty fair. Actually reminds me of the spec for a Pentium of about 15 years ago or so !

If you want one, probably best to get in quick, but whether Microsoft delivers, well that's another thing...

Not heard anything yet, apart from the initial email, which said we'll let you know when it is in the post.

I think they also decide based on how you answered the questions. My girlfriend, being into newer tech than me, got a different response - which basically said, we'll let you know when we have more available. Knew I should of put her down as a C, FORTRAN and Assembler programmer. Except FORTRAN and Assembler were not on the options and she wasn't born yet when they were mainly being used....
