Mini USB Webcam DIY for Openpeak 2.0

Discussion for non Joggler hardware / software including software for devices that share similarities with the O2 Joggler Hardware. This section has been opened for discussion of things like the settings up the EMGD drivers on other hardware using Ubuntu, as discussion of this has been banned at the official Ubuntu Forums.

Mini USB Webcam DIY for Openpeak 2.0

Post by pete »

This is the beginning of a DIY for a miniature USB Webcam project. This would work with the O2 Joggler, Openpeak 1.0 and Openpeak 2.0 devices.

I have found the connectors needed for the Openframe 2.0 top USB to webcam setup.

This post will list the parts needed and sources. Total cost should be less than $20 USD.

Attached is one picture of one tiny USB cam. There are a few in internetlandia. First one will be a hack job with the USB connector to Openframe 2.0 already assembled such that you can fit the webcam on the top connector of the Openframe 2.0 device.

Found the right connector for the top of the Openpeak device.

Now looking for a mini HD with microphone cam that will fit nicely on the top.
