Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.

Thank you so much for the tips. I have, for the time being, picked my battles and abandoned this but should I decide to tackle it again I'll try these suggestions. :)

Re: [RELEASE] XBMC for O2 Joggler (discontinued)

Thanks BuZz for keeping it going on the joggler. My fresh install on the the same usb seems to be working really really well. I'm curious to know... i used sudo apt-get update, sudo apt-get install xbmc. How does it know to get the update from your repository? It's a shame this os is discontinued. I...

Re: [RELEASE] XBMC for O2 Joggler (discontinued)

I have finally got round to updating this os. I have updated it to xbmc 13.2, removed unused /unnecessary libraries and addons leaving it with only the newest version of iplayer and xsqueeze which I've tested and they work well. It seems to run fairly fast. On opening putty it tells me I can update ...

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.

I've tried with it sitting right next to the router. It doesn't accept the password. No error message, just a loop of asking me for the password.

Oohh. I'm also ex o2 now sky.... So you never managed to get it work via wifi on the sky router? That's not good!! Is it a problem you had with any other operating system? I can and have successfully connected all my jogglers running various operating systems via wifi to my sky fibre router - just n...

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.

Thank you for your reply. I've read through and followed the instructions but still no luck. I can't believe it's this difficult. I'll expand on this post after i've slept on it and tried again.

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.

Can someone please tell me how to connect via wifi using wifi manager built into the image. Have been trying for days. Looked through a gazillion help pages. It can 'see' my wifi but can't connect. Have tried editing settings not really knowing what to edit/add but that turns out to be irrelevant as...

Re: Is iPlayer dead?

Wondering if the on demand feeds on PNPIII can be fixed by telling it to get the programming details from the bbc website - like the new addon does... Otherwise i know that someone is trying to get the original iplayer plugin back up. [EDIT: BuZz, i'm delighted that you had a change of heart. Thank...

Wondering if the on demand feeds on PNPIII can be fixed by telling it to get the programming details from the bbc website - like the new addon does. There are codes for this - posted on kodi forum. I've had a look at the cgi file to see if there's anywhere to replace the existing but can't see anyth...

Would option 2 involve changes/complications to the way we set up the os after creating a image?

Re: Is iPlayer dead?

Live feeds on PNPIII still work. Is that expected to disappear too? good idea having a service that sits between - however it may be only a matter of time before they would revoke a key if discovered. The current plugin could be fixed by scraping the http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/ site, but as far...

BuZz, a massive thank you for keeping the iplayer addon going for as long as you did. It was the BEST!

Spoyser, same to you for the app for the joggler.

Re: PnP III: Enhance the standard OS - DOWNLOAD IT HERE!

I can't get squeezeplay to update to v.1.58 in pnpIII - tried both the most recent version and an older version of pnp. Has something fundamental changed?

Edit: update to v1.59 worked fine.

Yes. You need squeezelite. Search this thread-it's in here somewhere!

Davemurray

Are you writing the image on to the usb stick using win32diskimager (or something similar) or are you just copying it?

Re: Any Plant people out there?

Has the tree been in the same pot for many years? It may well need repotting if that's the case but I generally don't repot unless I want a plant to actually get bigger (if it's pot bound). I scoop out as much of top layer of compost as possible (recommendation is usually 2 inches) without disturbin...

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.

Network manager is installed on the base image, yes? How do you open it to configure wifi connection? Googled and tried numerous commands none of which worked.
