Re: Can I wirelessly dowload files to the joggler?
Hi Tommes, I have the joggler running the stock o2 software. It has a seperately powered harddrive connected by usb. The joggler has squeeze server from plugnpimp plus squeezeplay from birdslikewires (roobarb's version). At the moment I need to connect directly to the harddrive to update the mp3s on...

Can I wirelessly dowload files to the joggler?
May seem a silly question, but I have a usb harddrive of mp3s attached to the Joggler. Can I update it and manage it wirelessly from my pc without actually connecting direct to the usb cable?
Cheers...

There is a 'chown' command, much talked about on the forum which has helped sort this in the past for some...

I'm not the expert on how or why it works though..
Good luck!

Re: Squeezebox Server and squeezeplayer on stock joggler
eduponesarris, did you get squeeze server and player working? I have had PnP set up with server and player on one joggler with usb hard drive of MP3s attached all working pretty well until it crashed yesterday. I've always had the :9000 command work for me but I do (vaguely) remember a few things yo...

viewing squeezeserver settings on Blackberry
Anyone else had this issue? I tried to view my jogglers squeezeserver by browsing to my.ip.addres:9000. It loaded fine but on my blackberry screen when I tried to zoom the borders resized themselves to the new window size and covered the text. Useless! It this worked ii could browse and fiddle with ...

Re: Prevent automatic O2 updates??
Just a quick update, I found the link where I first saw the 'prevent updates' script. It is here..... http://webdiary.com/2010/11/05/squeezebox-server-on-a-budget/ " Disable automatic software updating to ensure that all your good work is not undone in the future: echo "127.0.0.1 localhost...

Re: Radio feed playing x2 speed on Lounge and Squeeze - FIXE
So, out of interest, do you use a usb sound card or is the pnp setting just overriding something else? My o2 app lounge radio stations play chipmunk too, just wondering if I can fix it with a change of pnp settings or if I need a usb soundcard!?

Hmmm, when I wrote 'other hardware'. I was kind of meaning other amplification and speaker setup that can wifi connect witht the joggler and stream music. Ie like a Joggler does but different.!

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
Other posts refer to putting in a time delay into the init file to allow the USB library to be recognised. Hi, hopefully not stepping on roobarbs toes here as this is a thread for his versions but... I was the one asking about the time delay, with help from others it was established that when booti...

What other hardware can i run squeezeplay on?
Whilst my joggler is setup with a usb hard drive full of music, squeeze server and player in the lounge (output via hifi), what other gadget could I be using say in the kitchen or bedroom to stream the music to with the joggler as server? To put it another way, what other hardware will run squeeze p...

Re: Playlists on squeezeplay and server
I've looked this up a bit on the internet, I think that if you can get your m3u playlist to be created in a 'Relative' manner, i.e. referencing the music files from the same directory as the playlist file itself rather than c:\blah\my music\ , then chaning the file path shouldn't be required other t...

Re: Playlists on squeezeplay and server
Holmes.
Also, does the edit to linux file paths take a long time?
Thanks
Is there any chance you can elaborate on that? I'm not overly familiar with linux, if you could give me an example I would be grateful.I then have to edit the file to change the file paths to Linux style.

Playlists on squeezeplay and server
Can anyone enlighten me?
How do I create playlists on squeeze player or server? I have the latest pnp versions running.
If its a hassle to do on the joggler, Is there an easy way to create a playlist file in separate software (excel?) And import it?
Thanks

Re: Prevent automatic O2 updates??
Thanks all, I was sure I'd seen someone advise a script or code change somewhere to prevent updates, but I take your points about O2 not being likely to be bothered! Our joggler was a present, I haven't checked prices or availability, there must come a time when they aren't being made any more? Or h...

Prevent automatic O2 updates??
Hello all, I know I've seen it somewhere either here or on the old dead forum. My joggler has pnp squeezeserver etc on it but I'm worried that at any moment O2 will decide to run an update or generally fiddle remotely with my joggler and the set up will be lost. How can I prevent O2 updates? There i...

Re: SqueezeBox Server Issues
Regor,
Good to hear you are having success with this, is it worth starting a new thread to discuss this install in its own right?
Out of interest what differentiates your method from plug n pimp?
Cheers
