Re: Cisco open peak Squeezeplay control

If you're on Android you can use the Logitech Squeezebox Controller app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.logitech.squeezeboxremote (free, works only for Android versions up to 5.0) or Squeeze Ctrl https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.angrygoat.android.squeezectrl (paid ...

Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!

The original (buggy) builds are at http://www.familie-kirchhofer.de/android/ and it says "Ethernet works when configured using the command line" so it's probably just a matter of installing a Terminal app on the Joggler & editing a configuration file. Somebody cleverer than me will be ...

Thanks for this - I assume the starting point is Raspian? I'll take a deep breath & give it a go.

Re: Raspberry Pi2 as surveillance cam?

Thanks Pete, this looks a little advanced for me, I'm more in the market for an off-the-peg solution for the hard-of thinking :-)

Re: Raspberry Pi2 as surveillance cam?

Thanks, I had come up with a few options such as Raspbian, Motion Pie and Zoneminder but was interested in what people thought. Raspbian & ZoneMinder probably look a bit too complex for me.

Raspberry Pi2 as surveillance cam?

I've been meaning to get around to rigging up an IP cam at my front door, ideally something that will start recording when it detects motion. I have a Pi2, a Pi camera module and a spare Logitech HD webcam that is supposed to be compatible with Linux. Can anyone give me some pointers? The last time ...

Re: Joggler Chromebook ?

Looks interesting. Shame you can't have it as a dual boot on a Windows PC. I wonder if it can be made to run off a USB stick on a PC? It might also be a project for a Raspberry Pi.

Heat went up from 100 to 265 overnight even though the post was 10 days old - there must be a lot of people following this forum!

Holidays were fab, thanks for your suggestions.

new toy

I have a new toy for my car, a Mobius C2 Dashcam and I thought it might appeal to some of the people here who enjoy tinkering about with things. Here's a link to the post I made on HUKD http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/mobius- ... om-2296587

Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!

Thanks, I knew about the change but the wife & kids are now used to the Logitech version. Which also does quite good albumart. I was also puzzled why the Squeeze Control developer felt the need to charge extra for the tablet interface. It seemed to be an alternative to the phone version rather t...

Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!

I purchased Squeeze Ctrl too but went back to the bog standard Logitech app as I found Squeeze Ctrl to be a bit temperamental.

Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!

Squeezeplayer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.bluegaspode.squeezeplayer is paid for but worth every penny IMHO. You can then use the Squeezebox app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.logitech.squeezeboxremote and use it to stream your media. You can also access Tunein...

Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!

I was just smarting a bit after having recently bought a Passat :-) Have you checked whatever music app you're using to see if it has a separate volume control? The Logitech Squeezeplay app has a slider that is set at 50% by default. Also check the Android sound settings. My Joggler is connected to ...

Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!

see this post for a screenshot of the partition sizes on my 8GB USB stick. http://www.jogglerwiki.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2250&start=40#p24628 I found that my NAS quickly filled up the stick with its cache when I used it as a photo frame which was my main reason for changing the parti...

Yes, it's quite a smug feeling when you've done that! It has certainly saved my bacon a good few times.
