Re: NEVER BIN A JOGGLER

OK, so now I can boot into reflash USB but obviously there's no point as that has already run. Trying to boot into internal memory (which should have been flashed now) just hangs. I'm making another external image to boot into. Although I wonder why I can't boot to internal. It did work once prior t...

Re: NEVER BIN A JOGGLER

OK, our posts crossed. So, you think even after a reflash, the thing might not boot as it won't know what to boot from?

Re: NEVER BIN A JOGGLER

Omfg! This time fs0:boot made it start the reflash operation (I think!).
Reflash underway.

Re: NEVER BIN A JOGGLER

OK, really not sure what/why this happened. With reflash USB in I managed to enter fs0:boot which actually brought up original open peak OS. At this point I'm not sure what to do. Recycling power may prevent boot again. I'd actually like to reflash to pnpiii I think.

Re: NEVER BIN A JOGGLER

Thanks Pete. I am sort of making progress. I am trying to 'boot' using a reflash USB. I have a keyboard that now allows me to switch num lock on/off. But typing fs0:boot (no spaces?) Or fs1:boot isn't apparently doing much although at one point I saw some messages flick past, just legible on the top...

Re: Fixing BBC iPlayer LMS Plugin

Hi. I followed the instructions in the first post, but the bpa repository listed there gives an error. I then added triodes repository and the modified BPA one. Triodes worked OK, but the BPA one again failed. On the joggler I see the BBC iPlayer all. Listen live on there takes me to the recording s...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

Strangely, if I use my windows PC as the lms server, although the names look a bit funky on the joggler, all the files are accessible and play OK. However, I don't have access to, 'my apps' when I use this lms set up.

Re: NEVER BIN A JOGGLER

Actually, having now powered it on and of a few times it does actually show an open peak logo and dimly lights the screen. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be trying to boot from USB though. If I had a keyboard attached is there something I can try?

Re: NEVER BIN A JOGGLER

I have a joggler that does nothing now apart from very slightly illuminate the screen. It won't boot into pnpiii on an external udb stick or run the reflash tool. What are my next steps to resurrect it? Do I need a donor working joggler and a uefi chip transplant? Obviously I don't want to bork a wo...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

Yes, I think I've read that manipulation of the x10 database must be done on the x10 otherwise it confuses it and you lose the files. Still, it is real progress to have full CD quality streaming files. I know I'm very late to this party, but given the resurgence in interest in HD streaming, it's nic...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

OK, so this has no changed from how to access files on the network to how to batch edit files that have illegal characters (and how to avoid them in the first place). Thank you very very much for the great help. I've ko idea why the original fstab entry didn't work, but am ip address is probably bet...

I think any file name with a ? Mark is not opening. I accepted default filenames when ripping. Hmm

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

Something odd is happening. Reopening win scp the x10Music folder lists all album names, but almost all give an error as I try to open them a few don't though. There's no obvious pattern to which do. The first album is OK, it's .wav then a couple of compilations are OK, they're flac

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

Ah, no then. I can see folders listed in putty, but not win scp. In putty it's very hard to CD to a folder due to the complicated name structure. Might it be the lms scan that's preventing win scp from losing them properly? Ie might it resolve in a while? I only have about 20 albums though, so I gue...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

Yes, that is the entry that was there when it did work, but not fully, and not at all after a restart of lms/joggler It looks to my very inexperienced eye like it should work, but we've tried it since and it hasn't. That is, I alter the fstab file, then go into the lms gui and rescan, expecting the ...
