Re: Airplay on SqueezeOS enabled; can this be used via Andro
http://gizmodo.com/how-to-stream-anything-from-android-to-airplay-1578516449 A few ideas here. I usually find I either have to pay or root the device in order to do this and then lose interest. I think AllCast was ok from what I can remember, but for my use I ended up using BubbleUPnP which isn't ap...

Re: Chromecast Audio
That's useful to know, I didn't know that plugin existed. I bought CCA for both my Stepdad and my Dad, but I don't have one myself yet. I'm waiting for the price to drop again as 30 quid is a bit steep I think and I have jogglers galore already.

Re: Writing a MAC address to Joggler NIC
Would this also address the apparent dual ownership issues that pop up from time to time with unknown email addresses being registered on MySqueezeBox.com? I had a German guy contact me last month to say my email had popped up on his Joggler. Very weird! (phenomenon I mean, the guy seemed very nice)...

Re: Yamaha Musicast
Exactly, the music data is presumably obfuscated in some way, but perhaps is un-obfuscatable (think I just created that word!). I did contact Yamaha to complain that my essentially current device can't offer this feature, even (if I understand correctly) as a target for other multicast enabled devic...

Yamaha Musicast
Hi All, Yamaha are making a lot of noise (geddit) about their new multiroom system called multicast. The long and short of it seems to be that enabled equipment, such as an AV receiver, will be able to send any source connected to the receiver to any other multicast enabled device. This can be over ...

Re: 24/96 Squeezeplay and External USB DAC
OK, so the XS is a very revealing DAC. However, my ears are bleeding a bit from the slightly excessively harsh treble. I'm using powered monitors that do have a high frequency attenuation option. With this set at max (-2db) there a still occasions where I'm wincing a bit. Perhaps the Behringer was n...

Re: 24/96 Squeezeplay and External USB DAC
OK, having switched the unit into mode 2 I can confirm it works OK. However, with no hi-res files or ability to audibly tell the modes apart I don't know which should be better for my use with normal flacs. I'll run it a while like this and see whether it sounds good over a longer run.

Re: 24/96 Squeezeplay and External USB DAC
Hi. I also got hold of a Dac magic in the current sale for £49. Even with only 16/44 flacs and no tweaking the bass seems more taut and separation better than the uca222. However, according to Cambridge audio's own info, using the xs inusb mode 2 further improves sound quality (as well as giving acc...

This joggler is just timing out trying to access the squeezebox.com site. I never get chance to check/change the details

Thinking about it now, would reflashing potentially solve the issue?

Re: registering joggler with squeezeplay.com
Yes, I think you're right that the spoofed address is preventing registration. However, I've no idea where to change it, or indeed what to change it to. The unit is useable when controlled from a phone app, but severely limited as a point of use as without registering to squeezebox properly it is un...

Only 'main'usb for audio adapter?
One thing I am finding is that the usb dac is only operational on the main usb port on the right of the joggler. Two of my jogglers have been modified (not by me) to have a usb port on a trailing wire. These won't work with any of the few dac types I have. Is this normal? I thought usb is usb is usb...

Beringer uca222
I just found what looks like an unused uca222 at a car boot sale. The guy wanted £3. I didn't even haggle. Unopened cds included! Seems like a nice neat little unit. 48khz Max is obviously sufficient for CD rips at full quality. Works out of the box with the joggler. Sorted. I love 'obsolete' tech. ...

registering joggler with squeezeplay.com
I've encountered odd errors over the years with my jogglers and their registration on squeezeplay.com. On occasions when I seem to be missing apps I realise there's some entirely unknown email address listed in the registration dialogue. Another issue I know others have encountered is simply being u...

Thank you Pete for the tip regarding how to force boot using the keyboard. That was critical to recovering this joggler.

Re: NEVER BIN A JOGGLER
I can't remember the history of this one. I think it was in regular use, then found hung one day and wouldn't recover. Now it's booting itself into it's internal image again OK and running sqpos. I'll monitor it. It has no WiFi card, so even if it needs an external image it can be physically interna...

Re: NEVER BIN A JOGGLER
OK, I managed to reflash it again. This time it automatically booted into the internal image. I will now reflash to sqpos I think.
