Re: Newbie questions: how I want to use my joggler (help nee
A) I think I want to use the squeezeplay OS and then install the spotify app - but looks like I need to have LMS installed on my PC in order to get connected to Spotify? Is this absolutely right - I didnt really want to have to have my PC on just to play spotify from the joggler? B) If this is so, ...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 2) for OpenFrame
I've never mounted an external hard drive so not sure if you're missing a step. Can your joggler see and play your music library?
What is the error message you get when you try winscp as sudo?
Is lms installed on jogglers internal memory? If so, could a lack of space be your issue?

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 2) for OpenFrame
Ok. Can you read through this? http://www.jogglerwiki.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=533&hilit=Sudo&start=660#p15125 I'm doing this from my phone so am being v brief. The last version of sqpos wouldn't let you add files to it via winscp unless you had root priviledges (or some such techni...

Re: Check these - BACK AGAIN!
Ours arrived today. Briefly tested and seems ok. 1 small scratch on screen but apart from that I was pleasantly surprised by its condition. Gegs, I thought you might have superhuman strength in your thumbs but I was able to manipulate a block off without too much fuss and no damage. The other block ...

Re: Joggler as alarm clock
I'm really only thinking aloud and this is probably a pants suggestion but is there an alarm app in LMS that maybe can be used on squeezeplay in PnP III which might give you 2. ???

Re: Check these - BACK AGAIN!
@gegs, you're a naughty man leading me astray . After a discussion with my other half who loves having a bedside joggler I've followed your advice and bought one of these for insurance purposes.

Re: Check these - BACK AGAIN!
I've resisted these so far partly due to lack of power supply so this is good to know. Thank you!

Re: BBC iPlayer/Live for stock OS - FIXED JERKY PLAYBACK
Noooo. Don't bin it. Iplayer isn't available on the original operating system but you can get it on a joggler by loading either an entirely different operating system or a pimped up version of the stock operating system. The various operating systems you can try are listed here http://www.jogglerwik...

Re: weak wireless?
Update: whilst changing the channel has made a significant difference to wifi reception, Pete, you're right in that it can drop again if the joggler is in the wrong position. Sometimes moving it by a few cms makes all the difference!

Re: weak wireless?
Thanks guys for your replies. Castalla - who'd've thunk it? I changed the channel to 8 as you suggested (took me a while as I had to download a reputable channel scanning software first) and it worked! I was on channel 11 along with practically everyone else around here. No one seemed to be on chann...

weak wifi?
Hi. Have just relocated 2 jogglers to top floor of my house. Both are connected via wifi and strength is showing as fair. Date and time are working but nothing else is (no squeezeplay, iplayer, web browser). Is this a wifi issue - 'fair' maybe isn't good enough for the jogglers? Laptops, mobiles and...

Re: USB or external hard drive
Thanks roobarb! for confirming that a hard drive is faster (and presumably more stable). Pete, i have no idea what the things you mention are but they sound like you need to open up the joggler rather than storage devices which you simply stick in the usb port? Probably ok for the more adventurous j...

USB or external hard drive
Which is better for running an alternative OS in terms of speed/stability or anything else - or is there really no difference between using a usb or hard drive? (Aside from the convenience of being able to store the media in the same location.)
