Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

Don't delete! Just cancel or ESC out Did you login on winSCP as root ? Also, be careful to include spaces in the line //192.168.1.254/usb2/music SPACE /mnt/music SPACE cifs SPACE username=guest, password= When I use Winscp, either as user or root I select SCP (as File protocol) when logging in. Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

How to you log in as root please , what do you type ? Come one, this all basic stuff. I suggest you carefully read Roobarb's opening post and the links to his dedicated pages on his website. And read a basic Linux tutorial. Well, I'm guessing, but I think a lot of folk here on the forum are of a &q...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

Managed to do a quick install last night, using a stick with v301 internal OS. I was not able to connect the Squeezeplay via either Wireless or Ethernet for some reason. I gave up as it was getting late. So: SqueezePlay installed; Filesystem mounted on /dev/mmcblkOp2 Size Used Avail Use% 935M 577M ...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

I know how to fix the apt-get command (to find correct sources). But is it save to install all of the updates? Can't answer that I'm sorry. I resolved my connection errors by switching off the running LMS for a couple of hours and restarting the Router. Made a fresh image of v3.0.3 internal and did...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

I also had problems with SqPOS v3.03 and wireless access to LMS, wired network was fine. Fixed by updating (SSH to Joggler) and type: sudo apt-get clean sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade Now wireless works fine :-) Sorry for quoting this old post but... are we allowed to upgrade the Ubuntu p...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

I can't remember exactly, but I think that I tried to install LMS on a SqpOS 3 (internal) and the installed failed because of lack of room. Or I may have installed it and the update failed through lack of space. Which would mean a purge and fresh install for any updates (I only run the 7.9 nightlies...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

Cheers , that would be the easiest solution I suppose and I have got a spare Pi in the man drawer but I really wanted the HDD to stay on the router as its on all the time anyway plus I would like a screen for LMS and the main TV (where it will he sited ) is often in use when I want to tinker . Need...

Why not put LMS on a raspberry?

Attach the drive to the pi.

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

For ages I've had issues with the screen off screensaver. Whenever the joggler is unattended and the screen turns off, it doesn't actually turn off properly, the screen just goes black. If I turn off the screen with the 'off' button on the main screen the screen turns off correctly. I've reinstalle...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

Only problem I'm having is reading media files from USB. Not sure what I need to do but thought it's auto mounting. Well, I'm not sure what to do either. :? If you have LMS installed on the Joggler then the USB might auto-mount and be found under Media. I have, in the past, had a 64gb usb stick wit...

No, it's not from Tom Lehrer's song "The Elements",

but might be worth a go on a Joggler (cause, one would have to know what one was doing, which lets me out ;) ).

Re: Airplay on SqueezeOS enabled; can this be used via Andro

It has been updated - a bit fiddly to set up - but last time I used it, it worked quite well. I recently installed the Youtube app and entered the necessary API key, which allowed me to access Youtube channels and content lists. Unfortunately though, it wouldn't play any of the content. what api di...

Re: SqpOS 3.03 - how to get repo updates ?

I have a couple of these. The one I tried with the new OpenPeak OS installed fine, I then re-imaged it with Sqpos and it repeatedly hung after the first few lines of code (you know, when there is a short pause after about 5 lines). So I gave up. What does "kernel panic" look like, sounds l...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

I think the method for choosing a random testing track is now broken, leading to the metadata failure and the inability to stream, even though the plugin works (but not as before.) I haven't checked any logs, but the inability to access certain features makes me think that. Other users running the ...

Re: LMS Server on Joggler Internal Memory

Hi guys, I need to use one of my Jogglers purely as a LMS server on internal memory. What is the best lightweight base to use? I also need CIFS as NFS is not working for me to mount public shares. SqPOS is difficult to make work on internal memory with these constraints. Any ideas? Download and ins...

[quote="castalla"So you just replaced the cisco software with Openpeak 30030 ? Then flashed sqpos ?[/quote]

Yep.

The place I was trying to think of the other day is Alcoi.

Re: 24/192 patch problem

Well, I finally got round to having a fresh start with this and can confirm that the 24/192 patch will only install with LMS on the Joggler. I tested with the external version of the latest sqpos 303 and with an internal version of the previous sqpos 2.06. What a pity that it's no longer possible to...
