Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

Also tried Bookworm, actually I couldn't get wifi to work at all; the settings in my network.yaml seemed to be ignored entirely. Despite writing the correct network.yaml, all evidence seemed to be that it was still using the default YOURWIFINAME. What's the recommendation, persist with Bullseye (be...

gazza1101 wrote: Mon Sep 25, 2023 9:03 pm Yes, i did that and it did complete, I have tried repeating it and get the same error.
I have sometimes gotten that error but have just repeated the command and it has run.

Try this,

sudo apt update

then

sudo /usr/local/sbin/of-install squeezeplay

I have just tried it and it worked

After entering the line 'sudo apt of-install squeezeplay' I get an error E: Invalid operation of install'
Did you first run

Code: Select all

sudo apt update
and if so, did it complete?

Thanks for the reply, I got an error 'connection refused', not used Putty before, did not see anywhere to put in login details just the IP address? Open PuTTY and enter the IP Address of the joggler (you can also use openframe.local but wait for a minute or two because it takes the joggler some tim...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

Oh, right! :) I think better to use the newer Bullseye Image If you are using a Windows OS computer; Download https://openbeak.net/openframe/images/debian/bullseye/latest/ Burn the image (the file ending .img.gz) to a usb stick (I use the RPI Imager tool mostly, but Balana Etcher works as well) Put ...

Re: Debian Bookworm for OpenFrame

I have just installed a copy of Ralphy's Squeezeplay on the above Bullesye image I added the Radio Paradise Plugin to the LMS https://i.postimg.cc/QtgcRGWc/Ralphy-s-Squeezeplay.jpg /dev/sda2 923M 626M 251M 72% / It needs more work; the appearance of album art is sporadic / non existant, it's current...

Hi Ronni: do u mean that both the LMS and squeezelite can both running on joggler's internal memory drive? 通过我的 PCCM00 上的 Tapatalk发言 I am certain that I have answered this before I don't think it is worhwhile using the internal Joggler ram with either Bullseye or Bookworm. Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

Don't know how to blacklist the internal audio sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf Then paste this in and save the file. blacklist snd-hda-intel That will prevent the internal audio system from starting and your USB device will be card 0. Thanks, I might try that later in the week :) My person...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

Check /etc/asound.conf - it can be simplified for USB DACS. There’s no issue running 24-bit/96kHz DACS, they work just fine. Also, if you get any conflicts or weird behaviour, blacklisting the Intel sound module will disable internal audio entirely. I earlier found an old post by Wilberforce and ch...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

I check my LMS settings and in BBC Sounds Plugin unticked the box to Hide the audio sample rate from LMS. This can help with a specific transcoding issue on devices that can't natively support 48000 which I had done earlier. So now, LMS v8.4.o is coverting the playback to the default setting in asou...

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

Squeezelite installs and runs without a problem

The 16 bit/41Khz usb dacs most likely fit within the /etc/asound.conf paramaters. Do you have to change the default Ausio Settings to use them ?

In Ralphy's squeezeplay.sh it is possible to configure the audio output to suite the player
