Re: SSD experiments
No, my various SSDs are nestling inside laptops & PCs. I have a Raspberry Pi2 with a 2TB 2.5" old-fashioned HDD and it streams all my media via Plex & Logitech Media Server. I guess I could use a SSD but it's plenty fast as it is and much better than the WD MyBook Live it replaced.

Re: SSD experiments
These USB to SATA adapters are very handy, I've used a USB2 version for a couple of years now. I can't believe how cheap these SSDs are getting, I just bought the same SSD for my in-laws' PC.

Thanks Pete - do you still have the Squeezeplay 7.7.1 R0 windows installer? The only versions I can find are 7.8.

Thanks, I'll look for the log files. It runs fine on my Win10 PC. I've already posted this on the slimdevices board you mentioned so fingers crossed.

Squeezeplay not working on Windows 10?
I've bought a Pipo X8 tablet running Windows 10 Home 32-bit. Squeezeplay 7.8.0r328 installs but refuses to start. Whenever I try to start it I just get a small icon appearing on the screen. I've tried re-downloading it and several reinstalls. It has a Intel Z3736F CPU and 2GB RAM, so quite a common ...

Pipo X8 on eBay
I just bought one of these on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PIPO-X8-Windows-10-Android4-4-Mini-PC-TV-Box-Kodi-WIFI-Media-Player-2G-32G-TAB-/222071412449?hash=item33b47cd6e1:g:VZ4AAOSwiylW~hqo - it's priced at £70 but my offer of £60 was accepted so someone might get away with a lower offer. It has ...

Re: Bt Home Hub 5 ( possibly others ) as cheap NAS
Interesting! On a similar note I've just set up a Raspberry Pi 2 as a media server & NAS. It's much faster than the WD MyBook Live it's replacing and the 2.5" external HDD attached to it powers up nicely from the USB bus. SD card image for media server here http://www.htpcguides.com/raspber...

Re: Chromecast Audio
The full Chromecast connects to your telly via an HDMI connection and streams video. The Chromecast Audio connects to a hifi or powered speaker and streams audio only. I think.

Re: Chromecast Audio
That's useful to know, I didn't know that plugin existed. I bought CCA for both my Stepdad and my Dad, but I don't have one myself yet. I'm waiting for the price to drop again as 30 quid is a bit steep I think and I have jogglers galore already. Only 25 quid on fleabay :-) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm...

Re: Android on usb
Would it work preparing the persistent USB stick on a PC then putting it in the Joggler or would it all need to be done via the Joggler with a keyboard attached? I'm thinking it would just take one clever person to prepare a persistent installation on a USB then make an image which could be shared
