Re: Heeeelp !!

Please stick around and persevere with at least one of your Jogglers. I would start with P'n'P III because it's easy to set up and will give you a flavour of how easy it is to run a hack on the Joggler. You can then play around with Squeezeplay and iPlayer. You can even play movies stored on network...

Re: Fixing BBC iPlayer LMS Plugin

Have you checked that the HLS audio plugin is installed AND enabled?

TBH I think a fresh SqpOS install is a good idea. I'm going to set up the new iPlayer streams on my brother-in-law's Joggler and that's the way I'm going to tackle it. I think it will save time in the long run.

Re: Pipo X7 Windows 8.1 Smart Mini PC TV Box Media Player $9

I was thinking about buying a new NAS to replace my Iomega one but this might be a better solution. One of these with a portable drive attached (or two) might make a good media server. I don't think the Pipo X7 supports Wake on LAN, which is a pity (at least, I couldn't find any information that it ...

You can copy the file to your Joggler using WinSCP. That's how I did it before roobarb posted his method.

Re: Pipo X7 Windows 8.1 Smart Mini PC TV Box Media Player $9

I have read about running XBMC in Windows 8.1 and have read good things. I run Kodi on a Windows 8.1 laptop and it is very good. I think this could be a great cheap media center PC, especially with the additional storage capabilities. I fancied the Fire TV for a while but was put off by the Amazon-...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

I reinstalled LMS 7.9 and everything now works with castalla's iPlayer fix; previously it couldn't play/locate the HLS streams. I'm not sure what was wrong but it might have been a temporary problem on the BBC end.

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

The problems I've had getting castalla's fix for the iPlayer HLS streams seems to have been caused by running the 7.9 nightly version of LMS. After creating a fresh stick and installing castalla's fix , installing bpa's HLS plugin and copying over the modified menu.opml file, everything was working ...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

You can't edit or delete system files in WinSCP with the joggler/joggler login/pw combination. There's no 'sudo' equivalent in WinSCP so you need to login as root. To do this you login with PuTTY and your usual joggler/joggler uname/pw combo. Now type sudo passwd Hit 'Enter' You will be prompted to ...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

The raspi problem is solved. I'm planning to try the fixes on squeezeplayOS tomorrow. Have you had any luck getting this to work on the Joggler? I've installed bpa's HLS plugin and the modified menu.opml file in iPlayer but it won't play the HLS streams. I thought I already had ffmpeg installed bec...

Re: RadioFeeds UK & Ireland (Internet Radio) for P'n'P III

Many of the on demand streams are AAC at the moment but if they're SHOUTcast AAC, they're also being phased out according to Jim Simmons' blog:

Re: RadioFeeds UK & Ireland (Internet Radio) for P'n'P III

It looks like the on-demand streams in WMA are being phased out too. It probably means that on-demand programs are working until switchover and then will begin to drop away as the previously WMA encoded streams expire (at least, that's the way I read it): http://iplayerhelp.external.bbc.co.uk/help/p...

Fine if you are able to listen to it ;)

Re: RadioFeeds UK & Ireland (Internet Radio) for P'n'P III

And now we can put a name to that balls up. It is Jim Simmons (Senior Product Manager).

I can remember when the 'high quality' (BBC's words) WMA streams were in beta for Radio 3. Have they decided to opt for mediocre quality for everything? If so, it's very sad.

For those not able to connect to Listen Live streams on Triode's iPlayer plugin, I've emailed him (although I'm sure he knows about BBC discontinuing WMA streams.) The local BBC radio and on demand streams work fine. My current workaround for live national BBC radio streams is here: http://www.joggl...

Re: RadioFeeds UK & Ireland (Internet Radio) for P'n'P III

Hi, I now can't get BBC national radio (R1, R2, R3, etc.) to work in Squeezeplay, i.e., BBC iPlayer Listen Live. I get the message: 'Problem: Can't open file for: BBC Radio 2'. Is this something to do with LMS / changed stream format? Local radio stations (e.g., BBC Kent) work OK. All work OK in Pu...

Re: Google music on Joggler

I don't know if I'll bother with trying to install this on LMS; I've downloaded BubbleUPnP on my phone and it allows me to stream Google Music to any (or all) of my Jogglers. If I stream to one of my Jogglers and the others are synced, it will play through all of them; I can't do that with Airplay.
