Re: CarPC JoyCon Exr with Joggler
Works with the power button, switches the screen off AND starts in exactly the right place when pressed again. Now all I need to do is to figure out how to synchronise this with my ignition on/off.

Re: CarPC JoyCon Exr with Joggler
Yes I did use the Touch remote and am still using it now. But I don't understand how this will work.As I understand it the GUI will only accept an infra red signal,so I'll only be assigning commands it doesn't recognise? Even when I click on upper case Q,I still need to an i/r pulse to to send the d...

Re: CarPC JoyCon Exr with Joggler
I can't find how to edit the Flirc config file and from what I can see,I can only add things to the Flirc with an infra red transmitter.

Re: CarPC JoyCon Exr with Joggler
Keyboard and capital Q does switch it off and then it still wakes up from the remote.
There doesn't seem to be abywhere on the Flirc website to revert to previous versions of the software.

Re: CarPC JoyCon Exr with Joggler
Oh and since I followed the recommendation of the guy who makes the Flirc and upgraded to the latest firmware,I now can't put it into pause remotely, but I can still make it play remotely.

Re: CarPC JoyCon Exr with Joggler
It only puts it into standby,i.e. it switches the screen off and pauses playback which is exactly what I want to be able to do remotely.castalla wrote: What happens if you touch the off icon on screen?

Re: CarPC JoyCon Exr with Joggler
Most of your questions can be answered by reading the thread below...... http://www.jogglerwiki.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2110 I'm using a Flirc as a keyboard emulator which is 100% plug-and-play in Linux, with the exception of putting the device into standby which I still can't get to work.S...

Re: CarPC JoyCon Exr with Joggler
Thanks,it might do.I didn't know that you had to press and hold the home button to put it sleep or turn the power off.

Re: CarPC JoyCon Exr with Joggler
I'm running Squeezeplay from external storage as the only operating system if that's what you mean? I have a VW Golf with one of their MFSWs (Multi Function Steering Wheels). They're one of then few companies who don't use resistive switching for things like this and I've converted this one to infra-...

Re: Strange Flirc behaviour
I agree with you sometimes that's the way it goes :-) it sounds like you got everything working though so how about a new topic, my car Joggler set up or something like just to share , it might inspire others . I was thinking about a build thread anyway,so will get all that lot up as soon as I get ...

Re: Strange Flirc behaviour
The above big post is all very interesting, but it's bit off topic when this is supposed to be about my Flirc not working properly.I still get emails for this topic and it's nothing to do with the original question I asked.

Re: Strange Flirc behaviour
Thank you and hopefully now it'll spend all of it's time in the car and none on the bench. All I need to know now is whether the intelligent power supply will do what I need it to do and it'll be 100% finished.castalla wrote:Excellent. Good luck with the rest of your 'project'!

Re: Strange Flirc behaviour
Is flirc working? The original focus of this thread! Yes it is at last...... Right,I've solved it at last.Been on a nice long drive today (5 hours ish) and the Joggler and the Flirc have worked flawlessly. It looks like the original external USB port is only good enough for plugging flash memory in...

Re: Strange Flirc behaviour
We seem to be going round in circles here. The power draw of my regulator is irrelevant here as it's not powered when the car is garaged of a night time,so it and my DSP and DACs and all the other audio gear are totally 100% isolated from any sort of power source, hence the standby current draw is no ...

Re: Strange Flirc behaviour
I don't want to fully power down or suspend it if that's the same thing,as I said I'll do that manually at the end of the day,my battery is quite capable of leaving it in standby mode for a few hours at a time.I want to do the same as going back to the home screen and pressing the button in the top ...
