Forum updated
Forum software has been updated to the latest version of phpBB. Customisations had to be redone (theme tweaks etc). Navigation is a little different from before and there are a fair number of improvements from the old phpBB 3.0.x we were running before. The new plugin system should make the forum ea...

Re: Retropie on the Joggler ?
Should work under Xubuntu 14.04 on the Joggler, but I've not tested.

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.
I replaced them already. I don't want to distribute images with that setting.

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.
Thanks.
The base image doesn't require xserver/emgd blob, but does include them (as it's designed to you can install what you want etc including desktop)

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.
I am going to rebuild/replace the xubuntu images - somehow my own config got in `/boot/grub.cfg` with `thermal.psv=85`
It shouldn't be in the final images. That's maybe why it seemed faster (if you didn't change the throttle point yourself previously on images).

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.
It should be possible without emgd - audio may be a problem too. Emgd could probably work against a newer kernel, but the binary blob part still needs an ancient xorg, so wouldn't be worth including it if going for up to date stuff. I don't have a lot of free time currently though due to other proje...

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.
Well, should someone else come along who wants to continue - the information is already out there (And they wouldn't need a how to on building a kernel). The kernel config and patches can be found at github – https://github.com/joolswills/linux/tree/joggler-v3.2 It's already linked on my Joggler pag...

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.
I already put this in an email to you that I don't have time to write step by step instructions, but I pointed you to the source and a small build script which just needs to be run. There are no major remotely exploitable issues afaik, just some local privilege escalation stuff. I wouldn't think an ...

Re: xubuntu F2FS boot failure
I tried two different sticks, but with http://jwills.co.uk/files/joggler/xubuntu_14.04-v1.5-f2fs.img.gz after the blue xubuntu splash screen, I get run-init: /sbin/init: Permission denied Kernel panic..etc I mounted the linux-root (f2fs) partition on another ubuntu pc, and that file is there and ex...

Re: Joggler wiki
Was just caused by a webserver config change I made the other day which broke it. Nothing would be permanently lost - I have daily offsite backups, with history.
Also the wiki content is dumped daily and made available here - ftp://ftp.exotica.org.uk/pub/joggler/wiki/ along with all the files.

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.
The Kodi included supports hardware h264 decoding (up to 720p). I don't include the mplayer build anymore - I had it built/packaged for an older image and it's on the ppa, so could probably be rebuilt for 14.04 https://launchpad.net/~jools/+archive/ubuntu/joggler

I have reproduced the problem - Kodi is using software opengl, even though the xserver looks ok. will dig further.

Re: Ubuntu Base/Server 14.04 LTS (Trusty) EMGD problem
Should work on the base image - it has the emgd xserver driver and kernel module already installed and a default /etc/X11/xorg.conf - I would need to see the contents of /var/log/Xorg.0.log to get an idea why it isn't working (and possibly other logs).

Re: help!xubuntu can not boot to Desktop
it's possible the f2fs version is broken - I will check. It's a very old f2fs anyway, and has no fsck, so I don't think it's worth the bother. Recommend the ext4 version.

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.
Would require custom changes to get the joggler drivers working.
So no, unless you are able to build a custom kernel.
