Ubuntu running on Advent Vega tablet
I suspect that there's quite a bit of shared interest on this forum in other gadgets such as the Orange San Francisco phone & Advent Vega tablet. I was mighty tempted to get one but the thing that was holding me back was the lack of Squeezeplay for Android. I noticed today that someone has got U...

Re: Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick ) for the O2 Joggler.
You can reinstate them by right-clicking on the panel & selecting "add". The commonest ones to need reinstated are notification area and indicator applets. You can also add a shutdown applet. BTW one small annoyance is that the message indicator is bundled with the volume indicator. Yo...

Re: Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick ) for the O2 Joggler.
I have the disappearing applet problem quite often. It's more frequent when booting from a slow SD card in a card reader compared to a faster USB stick.

Re: USB Partition
Boot your PC into Ubuntu & plug in the Joggler USB stick & it will mount it. Or create a second USB stick & boot the Joggler from that then insert the one you want to resize into the Joggler via a USB hub.

Re: network association issues
Jogglers do this quite often, it seems to be quite random. Try rebooting a few times & that should fix it. Failing that try the sound card fix in Plug'n'Pimp. I would personally recommend using the Joggler with Ubuntu on a USB stick due to the precarious nature of its internal flash memory.

Re: network association issues
after your first failed connection tap on Edit & that gives you the chance to select WPA or WPA2, also AES or TKIP encryption. Try some of these permutations & it will eventually connect.

Re: remove PnP
PnP won't have removed the Sky News icon. Have you looked in the Joggler Apps store to see if it can be installed that way? Failing that you could reinstall it using PMJ http://www.joggler.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=842 - when the script runs select the second option & just type y for t...

Re: Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick ) for the O2 Joggler.
Thanks, I had assumed that it was something particular to your build rather than a settings issue. I downloaded the image last night & have done quite a lot of work on restoring my settings - were there any other changes in the newest image of compressed btrfs apart from compiz & the new wir...

Thanks for the new image - just booted up from it & noticed that the onscreen keyboard is no longer translucent. Is there a way to change it?

No worries, it only takes a second to add it in later!

Re: Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick ) for the O2 Joggler.
The dwl99 image works well thanks, no problems with Chromium with any websites or extensions. I also tested the 1.61 image again & that worked well too. The dwl99 image contains your login details for last.fm in case you wanted to take it down again.

Will give it a go. I always get the problem if I log into the last.fm site on Chromium if you could give that a go. Firefox is not as bad but it still isn't running as it should.

I think the 0p1, 0p2 and 0p3 above should all be zeroes

Re: Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick ) for the O2 Joggler.
I'm having a bit of a browser-related problem with the latest compressed btrfs release. It happens with Chromium and Firefox. I've added a few extensions to each browser but they have both become very slow & unresponsive and keep "greying out" for several minutes at a time. The whole J...

Re: Deleting Apps And Icons
I think your Joggler's partitions might be corrupted. Can you install gparted using Synaptic Package Manager, open gparted & check that there are 4 partitions showing? It's also much easier if you enable remote desktop in Ubuntu then access it via your Windows machine using vnc-4_1_3-x86_win32_v...

Re: Deleting Apps And Icons
You probably still have the downloaded update file in the memory. If I were you I would reflash all 4 partitions & go for a clean install http://www.joggler.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=1160 . Then you can run PMJ & then plug&pimp. You can remove some of the apps from the desktop ...

Re: Deleting Apps And Icons
There IS a script to remove icons - it's PMJ!! To reflash the Joggler's memory you don't need to download the file separately, just boot into Ubuntu on your Joggler, open Terminal & enter: wget http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1107587/app-o2flash-26635.8686-S3-f1-reimage.tgz tar xvfz app-o2flash-26635.86...
