Re: new custom Android 2.2.1 Build
all, I've downloaded the image and mirrored it at http://italianknows.com/joggler/Froyo_Joggler_2.2.2_v1.2.2.zip , For this version you need to follow the original instructions.. (not mine) namely 1. Add it to the recommended apps, at the top http://www.jogglerwiki.com/wiki/Status_of_Android_Applications Also guys not sure if you know once the joggler is activated to the android market you can use the website http://market.android.com to add the apps to the device, they simply get downloaded aut...

Re: new custom Android 2.2.1 Build
Hi. I am new to this forum and I have just bought a Joggler and having fun installing pnp, android, etc. I have installed this excellent customer build 2.2.1. (I tried 2.2.2 but had issues with wifi). The wifi on 2.2.1 is rock solid. I am having an issue with clock sync though. The joggler is obvio...

Re: new custom Android 2.2.1 Build
This build is superb. So much more capable than using Ubuntu :-) I feel this is only true if you are trying to use Ubuntu with your fingers only. Ubuntu is much more powerful than Android if you use a bluetooth mouse and keyboard (sorry Android fanboys but it's true.) I never use touch with Ubuntu ...

Re: new custom Android 2.2.1 Build
@winterhasarrived I'll try out the 2.2.2 release tomorrow. All regarding list of apps, there are obviously LOTS of apps which work, shall we rename it to list of "useful" apps and perhaps apps which dont work? oh also I posted an entry on the general/software forum as a poll curious to see...

Re: Poll : What OS are you running?
for me i've got two jogglers, the one downstairs runs stock o2 with squeezeplayer and pnp.. the one in the office is currently running android but I also have a Ubuntu 11.04 stick.. I find the ubuntu 11.04 sloow...and freezes often.. thus I tend to use the android 2.2 release.. its also much more fi...

Re: new custom Android 2.2.1 Build
Guys, FYI, I've started a Wiki with list of "working" apps, for the joggler.. Its not meant to be a comprehensive list but more of a "we've tested" and use it list.. Would be nice if the community start adding to it, I'll do more tonight when I get home,... The url is http://www....

FYI firstly I've discovered some nice widgets called "screenlets" which can be added to the desktop, very nice.. See https://launchpad.net/screenlets for more info..

Ubuntu 11.04 : Panning the display?
Hey guys, After tinkering with Android 2,2 for a bit I thought id try ubuntu instead.. tbh Im tired at the amount of android apps which dont work cause of the lack of NDK... Anyway I digress... Some dialog boxes go below the bottom of the screen , looking at the https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Config/Reso...

Re: new custom Android 2.2.1 Build
I've checked out some of the websites on custom roms for the archos 7 and they look ok.. http://wiki.archosfans.com/index.php?title=Archos_7_Home_Tablet that said apparently the hacked roms also lack market support, not showing all apps, and wifi is flakey.. sounds familiar?????? but for a small (an...

Re: new custom Android 2.2.1 Build
I reckon if you can live with the Joggler's resistive screen then you can live with the Archos's! The reviews are generally good apart from the resistive screen. Actually the joggler's screen is Capacitive.. (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O2_Joggler) and others Oh and the Archos is £60 for a rea...
