Re: OpenFrame 2: Recover from 'Upgrade'

The icons are downloaded as .swf files... maybe you're right, it might work after all. I just need to make myself a .swf that runs the telnet binary. This may be a problem for me - I've always stayed well away from Flash! I've looked at it once or twice for game development - and then I decided to ...

Re: OpenFrame 2: Recover from 'Upgrade'

Ah, but how to spoof one file on a server. It's easy enough to redirect the entire server to a new location, but one file..? Does it pull the apps and icons from the same server? Seems to, yes. It looks at op01.openpeak.net and does some stuff over HTTPS. Then it starts grabbing icons from http://o...

Re: OpenFrame 2: Recover from 'Upgrade'

Heck - bit different to the standard Joggler, then. :( I've not managed to find any way in to this unit through software so far. I was hoping to use the App Shop as a vehicle for installing an app that would fire up telnet, but it seems to be fetching the app list over HTTPS and only the icons are ...

Re: JazzMod:Source InDev 1 (coming soon)

I'm working on adding shutdown support at this very moment. I understand it's a pain not being able to shut ICS down properly (what with all the issues that you mentioned) so I'm trying to find a solution! Oh ok, I wasn't rushing you or anything. I just suddenly thought that maybe I didn't get the ...

Re: OpenFrame 2: Recover from 'Upgrade'

I'm afraid not :( Seen as this is my only unit I've decided not to try and play around with the internals - apparently they are notoriously hard to put back togther again!

Re: JazzMod:Source InDev 1 (coming soon)

Ok, am I missing something here: I have been so far unable to back-up my USB stick because I cannot shutdown ICS. The first few times I tried to do so (by simply pulling the plug and yanking out the stick) the backup was unsuccessful, which I attributed to me being an idiot with the imaging tool. I...

Re: OpenFrame 2: Recover from 'Upgrade'

Hey roobarb, I've got an OpenPeak branded one (from another source) if you want to use the files from that? I've only just got back off holiday so I didn't see the thread before now :S It's OpenPeak branded immediately from startup? If so, yes please! :) Are you happy reading a copy of your EFI boo...

Re: Mijuu-based JazzMod ICS v1.0 (Working Market! - LINK UP)

Is this release still being tweaked or has everybody gone over to one of the later alphas? Still looking for a shutdown app and timezone fix/workaround - can anybody confirm if one of the other releases fixes either or both? While I fix my compiling issues I would recommend that people migrate onto...

Re: A big heartfelt thanks

Thanks for putting up with my (lack of) Android builds... I promise you there is one around the corner! Also, thanks to the community in general as well - this is one of the few (possibly only?) sites where I feel properly integrated into the community.

Womble wrote:Hi there... what's the "Joggler_source_overlay" file on his website? what do you do with it.... if anything?
It's for developers (like me!) so we can get Android-x86 working on the Joggler using his source.
Yes, JazzMod is coming soon and I'm still having major issues with Ubuntu.

Re: New ICS build > mporting.com

Try going back to 11.10, I know at least one more person 12.04 is giving problems to. Also, you can still work some magic, like maybe some speed improvements and such. I rolled back all the way to 10.10! I'll try again with 11.10 though. I'll do my best - and I think (not tested yet) I just need to...

Mijuu beat me to it! :( Damn you non-building Android... I had binary translation included in my next build!

Yeah, I'm still having issues compiling. Two full reinstalls later and it still won't work!

To be fair to Evander, the binding on this book is first class and you get the added convienience of manual cut and paste. Awesome! I shall purchase a copy and a Pritt-Stick immediately! :) Haha! It should be interesting to see if they follow our Creative Commons license ( http://creativecommons.or...

Re: Mijuu-based JazzMod ICS v1.0 (Working Market! - LINK UP)

Something is broken. I'm not quite sure what, but I have a feeling it's not a problem with my Joggler build (as even generic builds fail at the same part - Error 41). I'm going to do some more investigating...
