Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!
The ability to independently (or collectively) alter the volume of synchronised players is the main reason I like the 3rd party apps. I use Squeeze Ctrl on Android and iPeng on the iPad.

Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!
That's weird because I use it as a controller on my phone and my Android Joggler and have never had any trouble with it. Maybe I don't give it the same kind of thrashing you do ;) Are you using the new version? It used to be called Squeeze Control but is now a differently listed app called Squeeze C...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)
I'm having trouble accessing the Plugins page in LMS settings. I can choose Advanced , select an installed plugin from the drop-down and modify its settings; what I can't do is access the Plugins page to install or uninstall plugins. All I get is an endlessly spinning wheel on my browser tab. Has an...

Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!
I agree that Squeezeplayer is worth the money, especially if you use Squeeze Ctrl (also paid-for but worth it) as the user interface. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.angrygoat.android.squeezectrl There's also an extra $1 charge for tablet mode which some have quibbled about. I thin...

Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!
If anybody is using iPlayer on the Joggler to cast video to a Chromecast, be warned that the recent update (29 September, I think) doesn't work. It crashes shortly after opening. I found the apk from 5 September that works brillliantly; I'll upload it to Dropbox when I have time and edit this post t...

Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!
I loaded up gparted and it allowed me to extend the last partition to fill the space. But it didnt seem possible to enlarge the droid user FAT partition which is what Windows sees and happily accesses. I think you would need to move the partitions to the right of droid-user to leave some unallocate...

Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!
No I didn't back up because I'm just messing at the moment ha. I recommend backing up using Win32DiskImager when you get things to your liking (especially if you've resized partitions using Gparted.) I've had a stick fail on me because it had been abused, trashed and rewritten many times; I wrote t...

Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!
Does anybody have a working build.prop file for greater app compatibility? Android tweaking isn't something I'm familiar with and it would be good to use something proven to work.hawsey wrote:I seem to remember apps showing up as not compatible is something to do with the build .prop or something like that...

Re: Android 4.04 build - now fully working!
OK, it loaded fine, and all seems well until I try to download any apps, whereupon I get the message "this browser is no longer supported", or "the website might be temporarily down or has been moved". Any ideas what might have gone wrong? How are you trying to download your app...

I will therefore continue to use most of them, but using the Squeezeplay OS only. If you've got a few, I recommend trying Android ICS. No video support or USB sound but still lots useful stuff. I use mine in the kitchen for various Android apps (Spotify, Weather, bus times etc.) and as a controller...

Re: Android 4.0 crashes when external speaker powered off
Dave that link isn't working for me , Error is correct , after extract it ends in .IMG.tar or something like that and if you re name it , it won't boot up If you have 7-zip installed, right-click on the .img.tar file, choose 7-zip from the context menu and choose 'Extract here'. This will result in...

... However your screenshot is that of a remote explorer, not the one of a terminal, which is what you need. I would suggest to use putty (http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html) instead of WinSCP. You can open a terminal session in WinSCP. There is a terminal icon on the t...

It's been a while since I used PnPIII but I think there's a script to change the sound interface in SWF Launcher.

Does the 'passwd' command need root permissions? Maybe 'sudo passwd root' - I'm just guessing here.

You did indeed! The only reason I stuck with KitKat was because iPlayer navigation worked on it and Chromecast TV streaming is the main use of my Android Joggler. Every iPlayer update I've hoped that navigation would be fixed on ICS and now it finally is. If you have a Chromecast I also recommend th...
