Re: "Mycroft" using Ubuntu Snappy any use to us??

Thanks for digging deeper and the links to follow up. I thought exactly the same about the potential use of snaps. It may be worth a try on a test joggler.
The IoT development area is set to increase, so we could possibly take advantage if it is compatible. Thanks again.

"Mycroft" using Ubuntu Snappy any use to us??

An open source based Device similar to an Amazon Echo is the "Mycroft". It uses Raspberry Pi 2 hardware. The software is Ubuntu Core "Snappy" could that be modified for our use? http://www.forbes.com/sites/janakirammsv/2015/08/20/meet-mycroft-the-open-source-alternative-to-amazon...

Re: Beringer uca222

Thanks Jim, I would presume that the F in FCA202 relates to the Firewire connection rather than the U for USB connection to the UCA202? It looks like they are the same apart from that. Thank you for the links. Please excuse my late reply.

Re: Beringer uca222

Hello Jim, I bought a Behringer FCA202 recently and am wondering what use to put it to. I already have a mini DAC usb'd from one Joggler to a Thomson DPL 2000 AV receiver which sounds very good. Do you know anything about the FCA unit and its capabilities? I agree with your sentiments about New Tech...

Re: Hacked my USB Sabre DAC

That is neat!! I went the easy way. Not an audiophile, but I think this item purchased on e bay for £5 is excellent. It is a DAC card raw (no case). I have just plugged it in and it was instantly recognised by Squeezeplay. I have it plugged through a Thomson DPL 500 AV receiver and the quality is pe...

Re: CCTV Monitoring on Joggler

As a slight digression from this flow. I have my webcams viewable through the jogglers. I am using PNP III as the native OS and I have an orbcaster account http://www.orb.com/en/download.html When I have Orb logged in on the local PC, it shows under UPNP and allows access to libraries, internet TV a...

Re: Touchscreen problems after dismantle/reassemble?

Thanks Pete. As usual your words are very informative. I always look back for reference. The spare experimenter will be used for some open back surgery and tests. So far I have Three rock solid PNPIII machines, one test hack and one of those cheap ex betting machines on it's way. Luxury!! Thanks aga...

Re: Touchscreen problems after dismantle/reassemble?

Strange experience. I had one O2 machine that kept on needing a reflash (somebody had opened this before), that had worked well for some time, One Openpeak machine that had stopped booting from a USB and failed to reflash with tons of errors on the partitions and one of those betting shop spares for...

Re: Check these - Now Back

You may need to keep it in a cool place, since these have had their stand removed. The stand provided some heat Dissipation for the processor.
The stand was screwed to the thermal bond inside.

Re: Touchscreen problems after dismantle/reassemble?

I think you are right! It could be too many reflashes. I have done it one more time and will just see how it goes. It has been going since the inception of UNR and has been very useful. The model you have adapted looks supreme! I am getting a spare to take a dip into the internal mods you describe a...

Re: Touchscreen problems after dismantle/reassemble?

It is my original Pete. I have never dismantled it and it looks like it is due for another reflash. Switched it off since PNP III refresh icon just did not work. No delay...just no response. When switched off it just stuck at the O2 screen again. (only reflashed a months ago for the same reason). So...

Re: Touchscreen problems after dismantle/reassemble?

I have one machine my original that has lasted well and stood up to several reflashes. it has not as far as I know been opened at all. My problem is that icons have started to become unresponsive in PNPIII. They are icons that are hardly used. It appears to be when it is left for a few days. My regu...

Check these - Gone now

Have just spotted these on E bay 02 Joggler Touch Screen, These O2 Jogglers are unboxed and have been used as a touch screen only to run betting software. There is no stand or power supply as these were built in to a static unit and still have the mounts on the rear that can be removed with care. ht...
